Whichever it was, it was mainly just him being hung up on the term "Truth Bullet" and Alex being weirded out by anime and headmaster bears, which is fair.

The dumptruck that Patrick did with the original fan translator of Danganronpa was pretty interesting, though.

Patrick said on his tumblr that he wants to play the second one, but with how much more fanservice there is in DR2, and how much the small amount in the first one bothered him, I dunno if he'd finish it, lol.

It's pretty good, I'm enjoying it. So far, I'd say it's better than 999 while not even coming close to AA.

Finished my re-playthrough of mgs2*, 3 downloading on psn now which I've never played. *(I got elephant. that's probably bad)

I don't know how but I somehow forgot nearly everything that happened in 2 since the last time I played it. Will be cool to see Drew's reaction to all the story stuff if he decides to continue with the series, but holy god the number of cutscenes/codec calls is insane at times.

Alcohol is a lot like coffee in that it tastes horrible and no amount of money is going to fix that. The best you're going to get is something that's really good at not tasting like alcohol, like a Long Island.

The first time I heard the music I thought it was the stupidest thing, but it grew on me - along with everything else - before the end. I'd happily watch more

PS: ePrix is an amazing word

Jeff was seriously bothered by the drug use/talk at the end of UPF. So fun, Alexis had his nose way closer than they recommend first timers.

Dota is great, and you have nothing to lose by trying it out.
Takes some time to figure it out, but once you do, it is a very rewarding experience.

Crashes like that happen all the time in F1. There hasn't been a fatality on the track in twenty years. Usually the driver is completely fine. Occasionally, there's a minor injury, but nothing stopping them from being in the next race.

Do they? I swear I haven't seen anything quite that brutal in a while, though I only having a passing interest in F1 to be fair.

After watching the latest metal gear episode i think Drew is getting more pissed at the game, i think the 1999 game design is getting to him. Also i wonder if Drew will go for the good ending or will just say fuck it and press select.

In Canada, there was a crash like that at both the beginning and end of the race. In one race, one car scooped another up and flipped him almost like a pancake. The drivers were fine in every case. It's pretty amazing how relatively safe F1 is. The one from Formula E was especially dramatic, but the driver was still fine.

The worst part of the whole Smash Bros double feature was Kid Icarus Uprising getting grouped in with the original game and quickly dismissed. Uprising is the best handheld game I've ever played, and the incredible amount of content is at a consistently great level. Not to mention it's one of the funniest games I've ever played and shows Nintendo can do humor.

Just a couple of examples. It's a dangerous sport of course but when you spend millions every years for over 20 years to focus on security, it ends up being safer to crash in a F1 going at 250-300km/h than in a normal car on the highway.

Good point on safety/security though. These things looks so fragile but I guess the outer shell or whatever is probably designed to break apart easily in a crash.

Yup... They have a "safety cell" at the center of the car that is almost impossible to destroy. Everything around it is made to be destroyed easily to absorb as much shock as possible during an impact.

The vast majority of the crashes the driver will actually simply get out by himself and walk away. Pretty sure that's the case with all the crashes I linked except Kubica (he broke his leg).

I hate the noise those electric cars make and them having to switch to another car mid way because the batteries can't handle a whole race looks hella dumb.

Also - UPF archive is sloppy this week. 5 minutes missing at the start and after the smash segment they lose right channel audio.

Just went through all the "How to build a bomb" videos again. Always a nice little trip down memory lane, it's really interesting to see how the site has changed since then.

There's not a lot of indication at that stage that video is going to be their main push, have to wonder if they realised quite how big a part of the site that'd end up being. I mean the fact they made those videos does show they knew it would at least be a significant part.

Brad & Vinny look so young too and Ryan's facial hair in the first few vids is killer, dude knew how to pull off that handlebar look.

They explain during that video (and I think Drew mentioned it on the podcast too) that they have a new audio setup that they're still working out. The audio gets fixed once they move away from the Smash Bros stuff.

1). The car noise is awesome
2). Having to switch to another car is hilarious and awesome
3). I am pretty sure they lost audio in the live stream itself, not just the archive.

It's now been 20 years since the last fatality in F1. RIP, Ayrton Senna. :( That said, I think he would be just as proud of the revolution in safety that came as a result of his death as he was proud of his on-track victories.

I've been going to the Austin race for a couple years and am a pretty big F1 fan. That wreck looked gnarly, but the safety record has been astonishingly high for decades.
