Giant Bomb Endurance Runs: Season Two - Who The Hell Is Zach?

Watched both. This endurance run is going to vastly improve my quality of life for the coming months. They couldn't have picked a better game. I knew I would never be able to suffer through the gameplay, but I've been aching to see it after seeing some videos of its amazing awfulness.

Loved both videos. Its like they are fighting against time and the game itself! :lol

Looking forward to more!

"Yep, that texture is pretty terrible. I agree!"

:lol :lol :lol :lol

VJ was awesome :lol I didn't really follow the Persona 4 run since I kinda wanna play that game myself at some point but I'm pretty sure I'll never touch this game.

Have to say that I enjoyed the Jeff and Vinny run infinitely more despite the fact that I watched the Brad and Ryan run first.

Jeff and Vinny are just way more hilarious together. Also, Vinny doesn't bitch, moan and sigh every 5 minutes about how much he doesn't want to play this game.

...is good at playing the game. Brad frustrated me: the controls seemed difficult for him to use properly.

Watching the JV run for the laughs and the the BR run for the total despair of playing the game.

Yeah, this doesn't seem like a Brad game. :lol

I'm loving it though. Whenever Persona 5 comes out, VJ better be on the case!

Will get around to watching later... but two groups playing the game seems kinda weird. Wonder if people will just stop watching one half and stick to one group or the other...

I think it's just boring to watch two groups doing the same thing NOW because it's the beginning of the game. Once they have more options to do different things, it'll get better, I'll bet.

Glad to have the endurance run back, either way. This will be great. I just hope Brad doesn't attempt to kill himself.

I wonder how long this game is for them to do an endurance on it
my first playthrough i did about 80% of the side quests and obtained all the trading cards. this includes playing the game in its entirety and then possibly replaying chapters to complete side quests for trading cards. total play time was almost 23 hours.

however i did use a guide to clean up on the trading cards. if they attempt to do the same thing without use of a guide it could take longer....much longer. i hope they do because the side quests are just as interesting and help flesh out the story/characters/town a great deal.

my second playthrough was a speed run for an achievement and that clocked in at 6 hours 2 minutes and whatever seconds.

I feel kinda bad for BR now :( I wouldn't be in my happiest mood if I got shittalked this much.

That said, I think I'm warming up on this game a bit. The main character seems rather cool & the 4th wall breaking I assume is going on, is also rather nifty :D And those teleporting zombies are kinda freaky.

Brad is painfully aware of the perception the internet has of his gaming skillz, but he keeps doing quick looks! Good for him, I say.

My issue is that Brad is projecting that he isn't having any fun, which kinda results in me not having much fun either (for the most part).
Vinny and Jeff on the otherhand sound like they're having a blast.
Of course it helps that Vinny always appears to be in a good mood and that Jeff and Vinny are ridiculously funny together.

I don't mean to hate on the BR team at all and I hope they follow this thing through to the end, I just hope that Brad lightens up a bit. Ryan's laugh at the end was hysterical though. :lol

I do like the similar thoughts from both videos(BR + VJ both talked about the flashlight coming from nowhere, York being insane, etc). I'll keep watching both.

It was true!?

Yeah, that's pretty strong of him I guess. Maybe it's out of spite? :D

Brad actually was playing much better than Vinny there I thought (aside from both of them getting blindsided by that QTE). I think I liked the VJ commentary a bit more than the BR commentary, but watching Brad play is a lot less frustrating. I'll give them each a week or so then choose which to follow from there I think- watching both all the way through would be a bit tedious.

It's weird, brad plays "better" here but at the same time he plays worse. He didn't think about ammo whatsoever considering it's a survival horror, he just got lucky that the game had infinite ammo. Vinny actually thought about it which ended up making it harder for him, lol.

That's why I love Brad, sucks so badly at playing pretty much any game, someone else laughing at him while he is dying is just so weirdly fantastic.

just finished watching both of them. can't fucking believe
they both died at same spot
. funny stuff none the less :lol :lol

having finished the game, the start is going to be pretty frustrating as they get used to the mechanics. (and god help us all if they don't get the radio and/or infinite ammo machine gun asap)

though i will admit i died at the same exact spot. the QTEs are pretty unforgiving in this game :lol

Yeah, that QTE seemed particularly fucked. It went by so fast.

Once the game opens up I'd expect both play throughs to be very different.

Man, Ignition must be thrilled that the GB guys are doing this. I know that I already kinda want to go out and buy a copy of DP now, especially since it is only $20.

Okay, I can't do it. I really tried, and I like the joking around, but watching someone else play a game is frustrating, and watching someone else play what is ostensibly a really bad game is even more frustrating. Maybe the game gets significantly better very shortly, but I saw lots of absolutely jank aiming and Vinny playing essentially running bases with zombies as he tried to shoot them...in the hips.

its not a bad game; just insanely outdated.

I'll probably do like with P4, in that I'll wait for a week's worth to go up then watch them over the weekend. I know they never will, but P3 would be fun sometime for them to try.
