Giant Bomb Endurance Runs: Season Two - Who The Hell Is Zach?

Just watch both and my early impression is that JV are much better at ERs than BR. Of course, they have a lot more experience at it, but BR is just a lot quieter whereas JV are constantly cracking jokes.

Do you think one pairing leaves the room when the other is playing their part, or do they stay and listen? I wasn't sure how much Jeff was copying Ryan by coincidence or on purpose.

I haven't watched much Giant Bomb but a Deadly Premonition run sounds fun.
I was kind of hoping that they would do a Demon's Souls Endurance Run but I guess that's just wishful thinking.

The first ER became such an "expected" part of my week that, when it ended, I felt a little empty. D:

It's awesome that it's starting up again, and with Deadly Premonitions. :D

Can't wait till they get to the fishing parts :D

Why doesn't this game have a Pal release yet :( such a shame .

Just finished watching both. So very good. I liked Brad/Ryan just a hair more, but really getting two ERs is almost too much joy. It reminds me of a movie... you know which one I mean, don't you Zach?

just watched both and they're excellent. kinda wish they were playing two different game though, don't think I can watch the same game twice. I'll probably stick with BR, seems they're better at the game.

So that was... boring. Reminded me of why I couldn't stand to listen to more than one episode of their podcast. I guess GB just isn't for me :/ Kind of sucks because I really wanted to watch an LP of Deadly Premonition. I'll try one more episode to see if it gets better.

Yes. Brad, who couldn't manage running in a straight line at the end, is clearly superior.

Boring? It was hilarious.
It's like watching the Angry Videogame Nerd only instead of cussing at the game they make fun of it.

Brad was miles better at shooting the zombie dudes in the head than Vinny was.

are BR episodes gonna be shorter one forever?
If they end each episode with Brad pulling a Brad... maybe? :lol

Also, the Pheonix Down moment was pretty amazing... but with the Bufu moment, you could actually hear Jeff have a mini-breakdown. :lol

"Agent...York?"

"Good. That's good."

Damn some of the dialog is funny.:lol

Anyone else think that sheriff looks like Naomi Watts?

"I'm the sherrif, George Woodman. Call me George."
"FBI Special Agent Francis York Morgan. Please, just call me York. That's what everyone calls me."

Bwahahaahah.:lol

"YOU GUYS LIKE ICP?" :lol:lol:lol
Every time I saw the creepy guys yesterday I kept thinking they looked like Jugalos. I can't believe it took one of them this long to make an ICP reference. :lol

Also: "F. K. In... THE COFFEE!" Some fantastic voice work in this game.

That whole scene cracks me up every time. The incredibly loud music, the lame salt/pepper-jokes, the way York asks Polly about the town and seems to not give a shit about the answer, the creepy smile at the end.. So good!

Ryan's dislike for playing for the game is way too obvious.
Yeah. If I keep watching this (still depends on whether or not I will play my copy of the game), I might bail on Team BR. Brad's endless chastising of the game is getting grating.

it IS called the endurance run, so they might quit before we stop watching :lol

In case you guys are interested, Something Awful's review of Deadly Premonition: http://www.somethingawful.com/d/news/deadly-premonition-review.php

The game starts off simple enough: you step into the shoes of FBI Special Agent Francis York, an astute and intelligent man who chooses to only investigate homicides involving red plant seeds. Oh yeah, and he can also tell the future by looking into a cup of coffee. And he talks to invisible, possibly imaginary characters nobody else can see. And he eats raw potatoes, sleeps on a mattress in the middle of a cemetery, and stores giant fish inside his suit. Let me take this opportunity to point out I am not making any of this up.

Agent York has been sent to the northwestern town of Greenvale to investigate a murder in which the victim - a young girl named Anna - had been crucified on a tree with her stomach torn open. There was also some other little facet of the case I can't quite remember offhand... oh yeah, I recall it now: SHE HAD RED SEEDS ON HER. Like any responsible FBI Agent concerned with tree-related justice, Agent York approaches the small town around midnight, driving his muscle car through pouring rain while simultaneously talking on his cellphone, listening to music, looking at a laptop, and smoking a cigarette. Unfortunately, his clever plan to multitask every single action in the world goes awry, causing his car to crash into a ditch and leaving no choice but to enter the town on foot, because that would naturally be the most stupid and dangerous thing to do.

To accomplish this, York must utilize every skill learned during FBI training, including:

* Silently staring into peoples' windows to watch them sleep for hours while he breathes heavily,
* Solving crimes by picking up three objects and then smoking a cigarette,
* Tapping his chest with his finger (his crime solving finger),
* Talking about 80s movies to invisible people who don't respond because they don't exist.

The last page has some awesome videos, like Agent York driving around in a car talking to Zach about some girl from high school while giant monster dogs bump into him.

Ryan has got to stop rushing Brad through the game. If he wants to look at useless stuff let him!

It's the Endurance Run after all, not the Sprint.

but then he has to endure longer.

He did that in the Silent Hill: SM Quick Look. Brad wanted to look around around a room in a horror game, and Ryan started making snoring sounds because 2 seconds had passed without any explosions and he was getting bored.

also

* Clothes shopping! Change your outfit and amaze the locals who seem unable to do the same. If you forget to clean your suits, flies will begin swarming around you like orbiting moons. Then the FBI will dock your pay $60 for being "a stinky agent" (I'm seriously not making that up).

It's really too bad the two people that have watched Twin Peaks are on different teams, Jeff and Ryan likes to throw out the random reference, which is sadly lost on their partner.
