Giant Bomb Endurance Runs: Season Two - Who The Hell Is Zach?

So the game (and QLs) will get better as they go along, right? I've only watched VJ 01 so far, but while VJ were entertaining as always the part they played just seemed boring and horrible. If the game gets more ridiculous as it goes on then I'm in, I guess I thought it might start a little quicker than it did.
The intro not especially indicative of the rest of the game. There are several parts that are just as linear, but none of them are among the highlights of the experience IMO. The combat will be more fun to watch when they get better weapons.

Actually, I'd probably say that first combat/tutorial area that they both did in the first episode is personally the most boring/least interesting part of the game, especially since it starts you off with very little in way of story. They're just about to get into the story and meet more characters and do crazy quests, which is where a lot of the fun resides.

i'd say once they get to the hospital is when everyone will start having more favorable things to say about the game.

for those of you who haven't played the game, its chapter 3 so they'll probably get to it in the ER in another episode or 2.

Will get around to watching later... but two groups playing the game seems kinda weird. Wonder if people will just stop watching one half and stick to one group or the other...

I've been watching the VJs exclusively. Honestly, I'd watch whichever team didn't have Brad, since that dude is such an Eeyore. I'm enjoying the VJs a ton though. :lol The Andrew Dice Clay smoking style.

I'm watching both VJ and BR but, I'm enjoying the VJ humor alot more.

That said, are they purposefully ending in the same spots?

Reminds me of a Super Mario tune mixed around a bit.

Drew probably sits through both recordings and he decides when to call it. So that way the guys playing don't know what the others group did but they end up at the same spot. For now at least. Based on what people have said the game opens up later on so they likely wont be doing the same thing.Obviously I have no idea but that's my guess.

This is going to get in my way of playing this game. Will I endure watching this game be beaten twice while playing it myself? That is a true endurance run.

Like everyone else I've been watching BR first and then VJ for a more funny episode. Both though are great to watch - I mean just because people may be thinking BR is less entertaining you have to consider this is for Giant Bomb standards! The guys have set the benchmark for video content so high that a BR episode on Gamespot nowadays would be like the weekly highlight.

Good to see the Endurance Run back!
And thanks for posting links to the soundtrack.

I've also been watching the BR one first and then the VJ one. It was just a coincidence at first but I think I'll keep it that way now. I mean, BR is a nice combo but it doesn't seem like they really want to play the game. I hope that changes soon so we have two equally funny episodes each day :D

I had no internet access all day, and you know what the worst part about it was? Not that I couldn't put in resumes like I badly need to, not that I couldn't keep up on news. It was that I had two Giant Bomb endurance run videos just waiting to be watched that I couldn't get to. It was like chinese water torture, but without the chinese or water or torture parts.

Laughed my ass off at today's VJ run, so awesome. That table! I think I need to buy this game.

I really don't understand having both groups run through the same game though.

Midway through VJ-02, and HOLY SHIT IS THIS GAME SO BAD :lol :lol :lol

How often are these Endurance runs going to be going up though? I can't be watching an hour and a half of this a day

enjoyed both episodes today. glad to see them get out of the corridor shooting segments.

facial animation in this game is fuuuuuucked uuuup. :lol

Man Brad and Ryan are not enjoying the run and it shows, Vinny and jeff makes fun of EVERYTHING which makes things way more enjoyable. I wonder if Brad & Ryan will just call it quits at one point :lol

If Persona is any indication, there will be one of each every Monday-through-Friday (save E3 week) without fail until they stop enduring. Because NOTHING STOPS THE ENDURANCE RUN!!!

like they said (forget which pair) this game almost seems like it could be a work of postmodern genius.

i mean just think how awesome it would be if they made a game so bad all on purpose.

Brad and Ryan just need to cut loose more. When they get into it it, it's great. I think the driving will be the real test for them if they can endure.

Brad just makes it very obvious he's not having fun and doesn't want to play, it's not really fun to watch.

I hope they do cut loose a bit more.

Oh crap, why did I buy this game? I could have just watched the endurance run! The best part of this game certainly isn't the mechanics, its the cut-scenes and crazy dialogue. I could have gotten all that and more from the endurance run. Oh well, I guess I'll watch it and play it. Jeez that open world is the ugliest thing I've ever seen though.

You would think from your avatar you would understand the point of the intentionally ugly overworld and purposefully 'bad' mechanics. I think if you don't play the game before watching these you're really missing out.

I've played up to part 4 and the game is hilarious, I'll probably keep playing, but I find it kind of hard to believe that the overworld is intentionally ugly and not ugly because of budget constraints. I don't know what an ugly overworld would be spoofing or what the point of it would be. I could be wrong though. I know there are a lot of references I haven't gotten in this game already.

I feel really sorry for Brad he clearly doesn't want to play the game.
Brad never seems like he wants to play anything. I swear, that guy hates videogames or something. :lol
