Giant Bomb Endurance Runs: Season Two - Who The Hell Is Zach?

He did that in the Silent Hill: SM Quick Look. Brad wanted to look around around a room in a horror game, and Ryan started making snoring sounds because 2 seconds had passed without any explosions and he was getting bored.

also

There need to be explosions and shiny objects to keep his attention.

Nothing against Brad or Ryan but the JV combination is just way more funner to watch the game with .

Yeah, I think Ryan is the funniest dude on the GB staff, but for some reason the BR commentary is just lifeless. They actually just sit there and observe cutscenes where Vinnie and Jeff mock the hell out of it.

Oh wow, this is going to be quite something. I can't believe I'm looking forward to watching 4 guys complete a game I never want to play, twice.

VJ was vastly superior for the second episode

Brad needs to stop moaning and Ryan needs to stop rushing everything

Yeah I usually love watching everything with Brad because he sucks so badly but Ryan is just fucking annoying in this.

This is my first ER. I'm loving it. This game is magically terrible.

Thanks Giant Bomb! Can't wait until I'm done with classes so I can watch the new episodes.

Ep 2 of VJ was hilarious :lol The music in the diner and "FBI special agent Francis York Morgan, Please just call me York, That's what everyone calls me" :lol I lost it when he said it again to the sheriff.

Can't believe I'm actually watching a shitty game being played twice, but I'm really enjoying it. Speaks to the great Giant Bomb personalities. I guess we have Kane & Lynch to thank for that.

I think a lot of people are watching VJ first, so that might be a factor of why they're liking it more. And well, Vinny being the man. I dunno how much more of the BR I'm going to watch.

PS: "Me? You talking to me? Me? Me, me, me... me, me..." In episode one of VJ had me dying :lol

Well I watched the Brad and Ryan video first and enjoye Vinny with Jeff waaaaaaay more. After watching the second video with VJ, I might just skip BR all together for this.

I'm enjoying them both, but for different reasons. I think it will be interesting to see if Brad and Ryan eventually warm up to the game or continue to loathe it more and more.

also, has anyone else noticed the whistling track from the game is more or less a slower variation of the super mario world theme?
You know, while watching these videos I knew I had heard that music before.

I can't believe neither team commented on ninja sheriff. It's crazy, the deputy pulls up in the car, they show from several angles that no one else is in it or even there at the scene and BAM he's behind you. It's almost all I can notice. I haven't watched these before and it's pretty good.

I'm gonna stick with watching the BR episode first and then the VJ run afterward for a (likely) more comedic take on things.

I might give the Brad/Ryan run a bit longer and then bail out if things don't pick up, I just don't think the two of them are well suited to an ER.

Vinny and Jeff work well together and are constantly rolling jokes off of one another, Vinny also plays at a sensible pace which leads to a laid back atmosphere. Brad and Ryan seem quite sporadic with the conversation with a lot of moaning from Brad, Brad also is far too obsessive with checking every little thing leading Ryan to constantly hurry him up. It's funny in a quick look, but I can see it getting tiring in an ER.

Except that neither of these two have been as funny as just playing the bizarre ass game on your own.

Vinny and Jeff are definitely more laid back and are obviously having fun which makes them easy to watch and enjoy, just like in Persona 4. Brad and Ryan make playing the game seem like a chore which they just want to get over with. Hopefully they'll get more into it as the game gets better and more engaging.

The game is a great choice because it really is extremely entertaining and well done, just not in super obvious ways. It's become one of my favorite games. It's a little old school technically and has some janky mechanics here and there but there's a whole lot of awesome to discover by playing it.

So the game (and QLs) will get better as they go along, right? I've only watched VJ 01 so far, but while VJ were entertaining as always the part they played just seemed boring and horrible. If the game gets more ridiculous as it goes on then I'm in, I guess I thought it might start a little quicker than it did.
