Holy shit, I already knew of The Kotti but not only was I unfamiliar with the roulette, I totally didn't put together that that escalation was named after him.

Best debut seems a bit unnecessary as a category to me. I think having an award for the best game from a new developer would be more interesting.

Everything leading up to goty had Doom on lock until hitman entered brad's life.
To win goty you either need a) jeff to care or b) brad to care.
Speaking of that, I would put the internet's comments on No Man's Sky rather than the game itself as runner-up.

I think that would make it worse. It's like they've learned nothing and get by for free.
Watching Brad play is part of the reason I won't play Hitman myself, despite buying it. I don't even want to see the game running anymore because it reminds me of his incompetence.
I've been a premium member since the start. The Hitman videos may be the worst content since those FarmVille videos. It's right up there with Leigh Alexander, Ian producing Unprofessional Fridays and I Love Monday's Question Of The Week.
That fucking knife throw and miscalculated axe attack had me choking in laughter. Probably the best video they've done all year.

You would think that ,but you're not willing to watch it and see. Too bad, since the hitman content is super popular because it's very entertaining, and this particular video is all awesome. Like, if you don't find the humor of the GB crew funny, why do you sub? Honest question. They're not BAD at the game, and this video is specifically about using Mexican Rules (which I need to do myself now) which makes it way better.

I've read a lot of worse things, but it seems a bit sad and seems to miss the point of GB. They're not there to do elite runs, of any game...They just want to show how games play in an entertaining way.
With Hitman specifically they're using the game as a tool to generate entertainment and humour. It's a mix of Brad's caution and occasional incompetence with Dan's evil-wresting-heel persona trying to create the shittiest and funniest death possible.
I like the fact that they mess up, as it makes me feel better about doing the same.
OT but I'm glad they did want they did with hot mess. It was interesting to hear Jeff realise that they couldn't just dismiss stuff as "politics" and what Spoiler had done was really wrong at a base level, and needed to be called out.

i played and even liked the game but it's ugly as sin and the UI is just short of a disaster.
i had to get up and start my computer to look if they somehow patched the game, i couldn't believe it was up for "best style".

I did not think the GB threads could get any weirder. I was wrong.
It has six main maps including Paris and then two smaller training maps.
GB Game of the year threads always get pretty funky.
Seems fine. Looks like I'm buying Hitman.

It's more like doing things together rather than skits this time around which I think is better because that means there is more content to consume. They may return to skits next year so, who knows.(I welcome both ideas)
