Oh man the narrated intro is great to the XCOM series. How did they even do that with the handwritten letter look?

Still only on episode 8 but I imagine I'll be caught up by next weekend, whether I intended to or not, at this rate. Honestly, my plan for binging other stuff was pretty unrealistic so I'm sorta happy I binged enough of The Return to make that actually impossible and push me into a more reasonable pace.

I've fallen about six episodes behind on Twin Peaks. I'm happy that it isn't just "what fans wanted" and I'm all for the full-on Lynch Weirdness that it's bringing, but at the same time, the fact that there are ten thousand fucking characters had been kind of keeping me at an arm's length from it. Even if it's unique and fascinating, at the end of the day, I still need to care about characters to get me through a season of TV (or a book, or a game, or etc).

You can skip about half of season 2 and still totally enjoy it. Basically all of the middle to late of season 2 is terrible.
Guess I need to post this again since there are some people who seem to have already forgotten after 2 page. Wow, how the mind slips!

I wouldn't really call it terrible. Upon doing my recent rewatch, there were still a bunch of great, little character moments. I'd say just fast forward whenever James is on screen because him as a character and his story in S2 goes fuckin nowhere.
Is Danielle's contribution to Waypoint's podcast still just agreeing with everything and laughs?

Patrick and him are good. Rob Zacny is legit. I wish Danielle would talk more though. She like, literally is a paramedic/insane athlete/practices with Unity.
Having watched it for the first time in the past few weeks, I still enjoyed a lot of the back half of season 2? A lot of characters who didn't interact much before finally started talking to each other, which was fun. It definitely went off the rails but I enjoyed most of that, because I'm amused by that kind of nonsense.
Agreed on James though. I'd just say that at its worst it's boring and has some weird character decisions, not terrible.

You're right, you're right. It's not terrible. By comparison to the first season maybe but yeah, there is still some good to be had in the middle/late of season 2.

I really liked Oxenfree. I'd say don't get hung up on hearing every piece of dialogue in the game. Feel free to interrupt by making a choice or having your character say something or moving on to the next screen when it feels appropriate. I thought the game flowed really well, but the way the dialogue worked in Oxenfree bothered my brother, who likes to make sure he hears all the dialogue you can possibly hear in story games.
Kinda? I dip in and out but there's a handful of issues I still have with the show, that being one of them.
It's an apple and oranges comparison in the end but I don't feel waypoint radio touches the Beastcast during Austin's era. I recognize it might just not be for me though; while I enjoy what they try to do I'm not the biggest Patrick fan and I find Zacny pretty dull.

Totally. It's good stuff. Real creepy despite the art style and the zoomed out perspective. Soundtrack is great. Replayable too, and the game actually makes subsequent playthroughs worthwhile.
She doesn't spend any on gaf. Unbelievable how much time you have for other things if you do the same.
