haven't listened to this latest dnb. the danika episode and the patrick and allegra episode were great because the guests were 100% on board with the whole bit. of course it helped a lot that danika and allegra have infectious energy and pat does deadpan damn well.
wasn't a fan at all of the first episode with just abby and ben, so maybe it's a show that's reliant on guests to really get going.

So what are y'alls thoughts on the after podcast call in show (I don't know the name of it). I listened to like 1.5 episodes, but I don't know... I like that it's video game focused, but I'm also not a fan that half of the crew just leaves and we don't get their input
... I'm always down for new GB stuff, but I'm not feeling this one just yet, but haven't listened to this weeks episode.
Also trying to work through Skype/Discord issues live is not super entertaining
I enjoyed the first episode but I do think the guests are an important part. Danika's rad and Pat and Allegra are great (and importantly already have a good dynamic together in Polygon stuff). So I am wondering how I will feel about it when I don't know who the guest is.
I guess I really don't think about Destructoid (that's where they work, right?) much at all. I know a few names there but I've always heard bad things about their management and never saw the need to go there for news.
If you use your phone while driving you are a massive selfish asshole. Sad news is, I feel like every second car I see has a person with his or her phone out either having a call, texting or surfing the web. What the fuck.

Does he have to complete a game to "validate" the review or something? Just write it now and say it didn't compel him to finish it. That statement in itself has value to a purchaser.
He's got a point with the escort missions. They ruin any attempt at a perfect run with the RNG bullshit that can cause Toad to go backwards due to status effects. The game is still good, but it could be better.

Keep Toad in cover to reduce that risk. Mitigating RNG is a part of strategy games.
Actually engaging with a game's systems usually makes them more enjoyable, unless you're super stubborn.

Ben acts irritated when the person on the other line doesn't react immediately but doesn't seem to realize there's a baked in delay at the start of the call after a person picks up. It's annoying. Also he always seems to either give unsure responses, or does an unfunny bit that ruins any 'serious' answer we'd potentially get from Jeff. It sucks now, but it's necessary as practice is one way for him to get better at giving solid answers or being funny. It's great when he lands a joke though.
Oh wow he actually is pitching something new here. I'd be down to watch more of those. Wouldn't mind them in podcast form either as that'd be something easier to listen to on a commute. He should hop on the trend and start his own podcast, maybe call it something witty or internet-related since he works there. Like the '403 show' or something, you know for his takes so hot they're forbidden in 57 countries.

I listened to the entire sphere audiobook on youtube for Bomb after Reading. There was a 15 minute section that was just the narrator reading numbers because chrichton had put a shitload of in-story number readouts on the pages.

Uh did you listen to this week's Bombcast? They already talked about it for like an hour. An hour. Which was fine for me because I'm into the game but after 30 minutes of it I started thinking, "Man I'd be so mad right now if I didn't give a damn about Destiny 2."
The only hope we have is that Destiny talk ends at the end of the year with the GotY podcasts.
