yeah the set pieces are really really really good, it's some platinum ass platinum stuff
The music is also STELLAR
I like the characters too, they're all fun and somewhat interesting, the chip system is cool, the combat is good enough. I liked that route A didn't drag on forever, it got to the point fast and I didn't feel any need to grind a billion sidequest, I did a bunch and moved on to the main story

More activities than I know what to do with? Can I Golf? Go bowling? Look for cards with pictures of Japanese pornstars? Slot car racing? Can I go to a disco? Can I sing karaoke? How about betting on an underground catfight tournament? Can I play Outrun? Can I fish? Maybe play some shogi? Is there a batting cage? Maybe a UFO catcher? How about some poker? Or blackjack? I can relate to Abby's woes with her backlog. I am never going to catch up by GOTY.
I have finished Yakuza 0, Horizon, Persona 5, War of the Chosen, but now I'm being pulled apart with Night in the Woods, Nier, having finished my A playthrough, Kiwami which I am a few chapters in, and like a dumbass I got a Switch last week and am now also juggling Breath of the Wild.
My SNES Classic is coming in the next few weeks, and I know I have to watch out for Wolfenstein, Mario Odyssey, Shadow of War, Total Warhammer 2.
Oh yeah and fuck I'm probably gonna get Divinity 2...

At least blast through the main story, I finished about the last 80% of the story over 3 days, it can be finished pretty quickly if you just focus on the story stuff.
Jeff posted something on his Tumblr that makes it sound like they're waiting for a bunch of people to get their power high enough. Brad/Dan/Vinny/Jeff/Ben/Abby maybe? I haven't listened to the last Beastcast, is Alex still slogging through?

No more will bad games be on the goty list because someone spends 5 minutes saying how they really like it and not why it stands out compared to other games.

I've been playing it instead of watching Giant Bomb stuff. It's great and feels like a sort of redemption for Mercury Steam and Sakamoto. I hope the same team makes a Metroid V in the near future.
