GirlGAF |OT 2| Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer's Eve?

Haha. But then they'd be all LET ME SCHEDULE YOU FOR A PAP!

I lose no matter what :p

You should be getting one anyway :p Book in to see a female doctor for your first one!

You guys have some weiiiird doctors though. Maybe they were just trying to be friendly but don't have good people skills or something, but your sex life and boobs are none of their business unless its medically relevant.

The popular theory is that Aguirre is a jester wearing the queen's clothes and simping on the animu nerds.

I didn't realise anyone actually thought Aguirre was a girl. I mean that period post kind of lacks basic understanding of how lady bits work. She/he's always making "uguu sexy anime girl" comments in the funny pics thread, and while girls can totally do that too Aguirre just never struck me as being a lady. Are people actually crushing on her/him? I don't really understand why its such a big deal...

She or he, whatever gender aguirre happens to be it's a troll first and foremost. That being said can I ask we stop talking about it.

Yeah, I had a moment. Stared at it a bit. Looked in other threads and eventually came to the conclusion that I might be A) going crazy, B) I was being targeted by strange forces, and or C) it was just some new feature. Since grays/blues/greens mess with me I was really concerned for a sec it was me, though. Glad someone else shared that moment. :p

Yeah, could have been an inter-dimensional being trying to communicate with you H.Pro. Not sure exactly what the subtle blue tint would mean though. Maybe a representation of the sky. "We will come from the sky! prepare for us!".

Nah, you'd already warned me so it wasn't that much of a surprise. I was actually looking for it. I just thought had I not known this already, I would probably think I was crazy too.

Haha, seriously! I can't wait for menopause. I'm never even gonna use these eggs for anything useful and they are such a pain in the everything.
I'll take the period if that means I get to keep the libido.

I had a male gyno once. It was off-putting at first but he made it seem so routine that in the end I was like "eh, whatever." He turned out to be a shit doctor though.

I think I prefer a female for the simple fact that I feel better knowing they have the same junk as I do. Sure, a male can study it, but he can never really know what it's like outside of what's mentioned in a textbook. If you have to discuss womanly woes with another female they usually just get it. It's easier.
I'd probably be laughing because every word he'd say would look like it came from a porno.

Someone mentioned pixie cuts earlier.

This is totes my next haircut.
Not bad. I had been thinking about doing something new with the hair, but the shortest it's ever been is shoulder length. Don't think I could pull off the pixie.

Yeah, I'm the same. A couple of friends have been bugging me to go pixie for years. I'm thinking about it, but I'm not sure I quite have the face for it.

I think pixie requires a really specific face type/shape to pull off. Like, it's such a dainty haircut, so I feel it goes best with dainty features. Which I definitely do not have.

The one thing I'm looking forward to when I get old.

I went through a hormonally induced menopause for 6 months for treatment for endometriosis which was great fun. Hot flushes, particularly at night meant I didn't sleep properly for 6 months. Couldn't wait to stop the treatment and get back to agonising period pain.

I've seen a picture of you and I think you do have the kind of face that can pull off a pixie cut, delicate features and big eyes which I think are the key feature to making the pixie work. It could look really cute on you. Aren't there sites where you can upload a pic of your face and try on different hairstyles and stuff? Don't know if they're any good though.

Work called and said I have to come in today because someone can't make it. It's my fucking day off, my legs ache so bad I can barely walk down the stairs (I'm on my feet all day at work), and I have a sore throat. I could strangle someone right now.

Cloud, honey, step back and look in the mirror. You would look really cute in a pixie cut. I say why not give it a shot? You can grow it out later if you don't like it.
Or, rather than potentially living with a bad hairdo, she could go play at a wig shop and see how the shorter styles look.

Well... that sucks. :(

It's a hard cut to pull off for sure, but when you first get it done the feel is just... marvelous. Like others have said, give a wig or one of those photo hair thingies a go to be really sure, but I do feel like it's something every woman should try once in her life because it's so refreshing.

I dunno. Bold features can really make it work too. Try out one of the photo sampler things like Shan and see how it looks. And then show us! :D

My hair isn't short enough to be called a pixie cut, but I have to say I love short hair on women. I had long hair all my life then cut it short at 18 and haven't looked back since XD Would love to go for a pixie cut but I have a scar down the back of my head that I'm worried might be visible with really short hair

Nope! :p

Too freaking weird!

Not sure! I stole it from another thread.

I have a kind of weird question about uh, down there. I've been shaving for a long time now, which works well but is hella time consuming and occasionally I'll get an ingrown hair which sucks. I went to the chemist to have a look at alternatives like wax or the foam, but they all say not to be used down there, even the 'sensitive area' ones. I'm very confused :( Should I consider getting a professional wax? What kind?

Ooooh, that's an idea. I'll give it a shot.

I've had a Brazilian wax done before that worked out quite well. Lasted fairly long and no in-grown problems, but it was, uh, an experience. After they waxed and ripped out most of the hair, then an industrious and well-muscled lady proceeded to pluck out any missed spots with a pair of tweezers. She was brutal. :( But, it came out fine in the end (they powder you which seems to help).

Option B if you're getting in-growns is two-fold. 1) Use really warm water and soap or some other kind of foam (this seems to help clean out freshly shorn areas and keeps them from getting red/irritated) and 2) invest in a more expensive, quality razor. Half the in-grown/red bump problems tend to come from a not quite sharp enough/shitty razor, in my experience.

If you PM me a picture, I can photoshop it (decently enough for you to get an idea) for you, haha. I used to do that for my sisters and mom.

^You should take her up, Shan. The photo thingies online give you an idea, but they always look weird.

Did you considered .... laser ?

You don't sound like the person who suddenly will want have a bush and laser is pretty much definitive .... so maybe ?

Laser's expensive but I think I'll probably end up getting it down the track.

Thanks. I might consider getting a Brazilian then. I'm more concerned about the time spent shaving every day than the occasional ingrown. I've always worried about soap though. What if I slip? D:

Option C, Shan:

Try it and tell us the results! :D

Last time I tried Nair on my legs I ended up with a rash and I have yet to try it or similar products ever again.

Also I shave down there in the shower. It's easy.

it is not that expensive when you think about how much you would expend shaving and waxxing all those times you don't need it

Take it from Mrs Ho... Laser's the way to go. Ranks right up there with LASIK for your vision and a Sonicare toothbrush for "things that were there all along but I was too stupid to appreciate and now my quality of life just went up by several factors". You don't have to do everything at once if you're worried about the expense.

Thanks you guys :) I think I am still in disagreement about the face shape.. always comes across different in photos with good lighting ;) One thing that would worry me about a pixie cut or short hairstyle in general is that I'd probably have to style it, and my hair is terrible for that. It's quite thin and uh, glossy/slippery? So even with product it doesn't really hold a shape.

Or, rather than potentially living with a bad hairdo, she could go play at a wig shop and see how the shorter styles look.

Oh man, I have always wanted to do this. But I always assumed the employees would get mad at you for just trying on and not buying anything, haha.

I do also have a husband who is handy with photoshop... hmm.

I'm starting to lean this way. Waxing - even professional ones - did such a number on my skin (and were so painful) that I've reverted to other methods (epilators, or torture devices, among them).

Also, I hate how expensive razor blades are.

The trouble is in my area there are so many laser places that have BBB warnings out about them...it's making me shy away.

I made a huge mistake last time I went to the salon for a brow wax and let the girl talk me into getting more of my face done. I broke out the next few days after and now my skin is dryer than usual.

Never had my full face done but I'm always discouraged to do so because of that reason :'( And I know I will because sometimes I thread my chin and I always break out there the same or next day >.<

Waxing your whole face seems pointless. We have hair on our face. It's called being an adult. If it's thick and obtrusive go ahead and wax it. If it's thin and barely noticeable except to someone who's basically breathing on you I don't see the point.
