I am in fact, you will drive FGT only for that championship, Acura NSX is there to stay :)

Not the fastest, far not the best handling, but there is something insanely addictive in that car.
Yeah, it is glorious, especially on with the RM. Not the prettiest NSX either, but so much fun.

So amar...have you heard anything regarding GT5 at E3? Less than three weeks now.

To be honest, all I know is almost 2 months old and have been partially confirmed by that French E3 leak.

Basically, I got a vague info about something being prepared for GT/GT5/GT series/something (no details were given) but that was 2 days before whole earthquake happened. Everything went silent from that moment.

In April I got info about something to *maybe* be presented on E3, which was backed-up by French-leak. However, at this point I really do not know nothing new and all sources have remain silent.

So no talks of TT :(

What? You don't want a sequel to the greatest riding game ever made? am even more sad :'(
No thanks, I like my racing on four wheels, with a wheel in my hands, you know? I would be okay with a generic bike for the game, but not wasting resources they don't have, on an entire game.

I hope the earthquake hasn't a big effect on PD's E3 plans. We don't even seem to know how affected PD and its staff were by it.
If I remember right Kaz tweeted something about everyone being ok at least.

Yeah, he said staff and their studios were fine. But he's gone from talking about GT5 almost every day to almost nothing to do with it on twitter ever since the earthquake. So weird.

Turbo crunch mode + NDA propably.

Yes I really hope something comes up. I was surprised I only started playing the game again when PSN came back up to do the seasonal events. That and I still need to get myself a wheel.

yeah lol it's pretty ghetto.

I bought a small bendy tripod that I wrap around my racing seat's head and stick the camera on it. It's a bit awkward since I'm sitting on the chair whilst recording from it so it may move around but it's the best I can do :D

Then I just open Virtualdub and make gifs :D

Meh, batterys dead on my camera. Gonna have to make them tomorrow.

Shame that there's no cockpit view on online replays. Have tons of awesome online replays.

Yeah I don't understand why they don't allow cockpit cam during online replays. Took them a while to allow us to change cameras at all during online replays though.

I think it's because the pilot animations aren't as detailed probably to save bandwidth on the netcode. If by chance you get a camera angle that is pointing to the pilot you'll notice the animations are all jerky.

Nice although the compression seems really rough. Probably just due to using a youtube clip. I'm sure if you get it direct from your camera it would be fine.

GT5 online league threads should be full of gifs in the future ;)

If there's one thing that comes in a future update it's that when someone hits the pause menu online mid-race, that car instantly become invisible.

Sick of online races being ruined because some tit thinks it's a good idea to text chat in the middle of a race when their car's still on track.

Dorks.

Has anybody seen the American Top gear? I just started seeing it and i have to say it a rather good show. Their Stig seems to have balls of steel (their track is very tricky).

There is a thread dedicated to the show. Many people thought the guys don't groove well together and that seemed to be the biggest complaint. The show definitely got better as the season went on.

But having not watched much of the BBC version, and doing so afterwards, I have to say that their version has just as many awkward moments. Guessing people are just nostalgic for the normal crew, but whatever. All seemed exactly the same to me.

My favorite episode of the American version was the one where each picked a car from GM's past to remake....but had to bring the cars through a bunch of tests or for it. Was really funny. The truck test was also really good episode.

-------
And on topic, as for those rally gifs.....I really hate the view space in those cars. If anything, they're the cars you need more viewing angle.

Yeah it was a tough one, but quite entertaining!

They usually mess up at Massenet and Casino, that's where I usually overtake the AI.

Nice gifs Sunhi. I wish all cars had a camera that looks over the drivers shoulder. Instead we get stupid cameras that point only at the driver in most cars which makes no sense.

There's alot of stuff in GT5 that doesn't make sense such as not being able to select time of day or weather when racing offline, also there is a license test with the Top Gear Test Track in wet conditions but its not available anywhere else apart from that one license test, it doesn't make sense.

One thing about replays I missed from GT4 was the synchronised replays, I would spend hours watching replays like that, it was so cool.

Love the gifs.

There is a seasonal update. French cars under 500pp. Cape Ring, Rome, Autumn Ring, La Sarthe 1-lap and a created Mt.Aso race. Standard rewards.

Online dealership wasn't updated when I checked. Too bad, only 15 more cars to go.

Done of a few of the new seasonal races today (Rome, Mt Aso), pretty fun races and decent money to 100k for 1st on all I think.

I love racing around with stock tyres on cars. The last few days I've been racing my brother with Sports Hard and they feel great. Takes a lot more skill to get around a track with them on and feels really rewarding.

One thing that stuck out to me recently is the tyre screeching sounds. They are really really well done imo.

GT5 handles the loss of grip superbly, that goes for force feedback, sound, and how the car handles. Allows me to respond instinctively and with good results. I don't even think about it.

Oh that was amazing.

SURIPSTREAM!

Porsche are assholes man. Who doesn't want to be in GT? I would have though Lamborghini and Ferrari would have been a lot harder to get into GT5 but they got those.

I just want the GT2RS that's it, the rest of them suck balls :p

One thing that struck me just now was if we could have seasonal changes to tracks, for example that clip above is Fuji but all the grass and trees are dead. It wouldn't take much either, just different textures but I would love it.

I guess they should focus on day/night (in fact just more tracks) for now but maybe something for the future.

They only need to get one Porsche in the game. If you have one, you have all of them. :p
This is true but who the fuck wants to drive a Boxster lol

BTW came across an article on GT Planet that shows the detail of the environments in GT5. Albeit most of the images are from photomode locations but still some of the images blow me away.

If you told someone this was from GT5 they'd probably say you're lying.

It makes me sad that not all tracks are up to this standard though. Laguna Seca and Trial Mountain plz go :(

I totally miss interpreted what you meant. I thought you meant you get one Porsche and you will get them all since they would not limit their selection to only one car but rather they would have a large selection like Ferrari and Lambo do with cars dating back through the years.

I did not think you meant all Porches are the same lol. GT2RS proves you are wrong :p

Yeah MM those shots are great. I'm really blow away by most of them. The texture work is amazing, be it on buildings, mountains or a field. They are all equally top quality.
