Sure, because it's important to me. Someone else in this thread recently said that the thing separating the GT series from other games is overall polish and I agree 100%. Apart from some minor issues (98.2% in GT2, etc) that has been true of all previous GT games. But we've already seen a number of errors and bugs pop up in the limited content available.

I realize that B-spec isn't a big deal, but it perhaps hints at why GT5 was delayed.

It was delay to fix something that wasn't fixed? That is the final version of the game...

Ugh...

The name changes of this thread never fail to make my day. This has to have been Sony's plan to build more hype surely :lol

Part of me wonders if these leaked copies are from a pre-delay version of the game. Similar to the first run of LBP discs. Either way, I really hope PD irons out some of the minor technical issues along the way. Cubemap loading can be really distracting and we still haven't seen footage of leaf shadows so I'm curious to see how that turned out in the final build.

Yeah. They spent all the cash at development, so Hirai got pissed and told the marketing execs to use guerrilla marketing methods instead. Result: 5.000 bitching and begging posts on NeoGAF.

it seems to me that only thing important to you are issues you try to find in GT5.

That stood out to me as well and I'm glad you mentioned it so I didn't have to. But other glitches/oversights have been popping up in this leaked footage and I think it supports the claim I made back in September that GT5 would feel rushed and require a day-one patch to fix some of the issues.

What I didn't expect was a full-on delay, though watching fan reaction has been really entertaining so far. :lol

How is that a glitch? Why the fuck are people calling these glitches? God damn does no one know how rendering engines work?

EDIT: And for the record, my PC with HD 5870, i7 and 6 gigs of ram has the same issue with F1 2010.

IF someone wants to turn those into a gif... feel free..

Seriously? Shadow glitches? If thats what you're nitpicking, you're setting yourself up for major disappointment when the game launches.

I know I know, GT5 had better be perfect, but come on now, PD is only human. I think the main issues we should be looking at are things like framerate, load times, netcode...

I think mclaren777 posts on another board I visit, and I think if it is the same guy, he really does like GT, he is just... weird.

How important is a sequential shifter to you? If it's important then get a G25 if it's not then get a G27.

Clearly GT5 has to be polished to perfection, otherwise it will be a fucking terrible game.

It's like the dude is just trying to parody people's perception of him at this point.

If I were Mclaren, I would heed the mod's warning.

well you certainly seem to be irritating people, but I saw that same bug you point out in the first image. do i give a flip? not really. i guess the only thing that irritates me is the amount of interviews ive read with Kaz saying, "Gotta be perfect, we strive for perfection." He says it so much I guess I expect it from him and tiny flaws begin to stand out that much more. The other thing I think is that I, upon seeing the game on shitty YT first time see this bug that PD developers must see on a daily basis and i guess just ignore it. I'd rather bugs that I wouldn't notice make it into the game, maybe some networking ones, than ones I'll see each time i play.

Not a hater, just nitpicking due to lack of GT release date.

You've got me convinced - I cannot for a second tolerate these game breaking bugs.

Pre-order cancelled.

Hi Mclaren hiiii. Quit being a whiney bitch for once and don't ruin my birfday for me. I love you.

Also, Amar svaka ti cast.

The fact that Sony hasn't said anything yet has to confirm this is all some remarkably evil plan to drive us all into a frothing frenzy.

You know... just because one game has glitches doesn't mean that all games should. Such a strange argument. No-one is saying it should be perfect, but don't expect people to just dismiss annoyances.

It's not that important but Its something I would like to have. I'll have to test out the G27 to see if the feel of the wheel is worth not having the sequential shift option.

I love how the release date has been inching closer every week. It's made the wait for official word more bearable at least. At this rate, next Tuesday we'll be hearing it's already in stores. :lol

i dont recommend a used g25, i bought one "new" but was the last one available in the shitload of stores i tried, and it was the one in exposition, so it was probably old and everyone and their moms got their hands on it, but it was 150€ so i bited

after some time the reverse stopped working, one of the wheel buttons was being stubborn aswell, sometimes it worked sometimes it didnt, i went to get it fixed.. it was there 2 months and they wouldnt say when it would get back so i got tired of it and got my money back and bought a g27 -.-

and damn its alot better (except no sequential gears) the wheel has a better feel, its a bit chubbier, the gears have some resistance (g25 had none) and the noise... theres almost NO noise from wheel or gears, g25 was loud as hell

This thread delivers in spades. Now we just need Iknos in here to teach us the virtues of tire physics above all and the thread will be complete.
Who needs a release date anyway. :lol

The game runs at 60 fps when you record it on 30fps or less camera and upload it to youtube, and convert it to a gif.

Guess what, you're skipping frames.

It's not a fucking glitch. Every game with reflections uses cube maps or something of equivalent nature. No game uses ray tracing so some form of cheap rastering must be used. Also, a frame of a shadow not being rendered is nothing. God damn you people complain too much. I am one for quality. You wont see me buy broken games, but this shit you guys are calling "glitches" is stupid as hell. Get over yourselves.

Please stop quoting mclaren, I have him on ignore and it cleaned up the other thread so well and now it's like his idiotic ghost haunting this one.

I mean really, fucking leaf shadows?!? :lol

except it's the other way around with this charmer. with him, the positives are the footnote, the negatives the main story. That and iracing.:lol
