I need help.

Iam not sure if the Wind is right direction to go anymore as first main colour. Bought ST but I havent used it yet. Star Legend did give me Vaserga.

My question is, should I go to Dark instead of Wind (and later prolly to Wind). Been playing with my dark team and its doing quite well actually. I like the skills of the team. My dark team has been made with SR's (granted substitutes are not dark units, but soon they will be). Aaccording to SR tier list, those are some top tier units.

So would it be bad choice to go Dark and what SSR I should pick with ST?
Here are some pics to show my situation:

Wind is f2p friendly since its one of the easier magma to grind + you can get one of the better summon in the casino (which cost 10mil chips and even a ssr if you're insane enough to get 77 mil) and you can use your wind team to farm for earth > water > fire etc..

Dark is one of the stronger element but the magma's drop rate is horrendous compare to the 4 primal element. Chances are that it'll be a much bigger investment to get any decent weapon pool and even then you might have a difficult time farming elements other than light afterward.

All in all it depends on how long do you see yourself committing to a single element. Dark can easily take 2-3 months to get somewhat powerful. (at least you're not going light, light is the true suffering.)

Thanks, I went dark side and grabbed Vampy. Youre right that I dont have decent dark summons etc, but I have time.

This patch added weapons from Nataku, Flam-Glass, Medusa, Marius, Apollo, and Olivia. With a magna type passive.

Fire: Attack M + Critical M and Attack S + HP S.
Wind: 3 turn buff passive and Attack L + Max HP-10%
Water: Attack S + HP S and DA M + Crit M.
Light: Counter L + DA S and HP M.
Dark: Attack L + Max HP-10% and DA L + TA L.
Earth: Attack M + HP M and Attack S + DA/TA Down.

It looks like you can if you have the Android Granblue app on your phone (you can install it from qooapp).

You go to the gacha screen and click on the 90 mobacoin gacha. It'll tell you you don't have any mobacoins and a screen will pop up to buy some. Clicking there should open a Google play dialog to buy in your currency with your Google account. 3000 coins is roughly $26 US.

They changed it so, that you need to do damage enough to get those Valor tokens. Dont spend them (my aim is to collect 5000 of those). You will get later them when you are strong enough.

A bow class? Sidewinder's class mastery helps debuffs stick and it has arrow rain so it helps dark fencer a lot.

Because of this, I was thinking maybe I should use the ticket for to choose the Fire summon everyone is always talking about (red girl with red shield and spear?). Or would I be better off choosing a 5th SSR?

I want to do whatever is going to make my progression to end-game easier. I usually like to stay pretty 'competitive'. So if there is a character that would compliment my current party and help with progression, that'd be awesome.

I think many people just been playing a while. Some of them are not afraid to admit they bought some tickets and did some rolls. And overall the game seems reasonably generous. With constant events that yield Rubies, eventually you'll get there I guess.


With 3 new SSRs today and my Super Bingo worth of 7,7mil, today was a pretty good day.

I've been f2p in GBF for 8 months. Only got 8 SSR, and mostly rolled on Legend Fests.

Since you just started, be used to getting it slow. I think 1 SSR a month is norm.

I know. I've tried multiple times and it just doesn't agree with my PC for whatever reason. It's one of the reasons I was most hoping for the official English release, so I could download the app off out of App Store and then use my Apple ID to buy the in-game currency.

And yeah, definitely going for the Surprise Ticket. Since it's not a direct conversion from Mobage pre-paid card --> points (I'll get just under 2000 coins for a 2000 yen card), I was debating on making two separate 2000 Mobage pre-paid card purchases. Once, to try it out and see if all works as planned and another to put me over 3000 Mobacoins so I can purchase the Surprise Ticket.

Hopefully by the time my Start Dash ticket returns in early April, the English release will be available and I won't have to deal with this anymore. Assuming they don't region-lock currency purchases and refuse to put the English app in our stores, but I can't see them doing that.

The new icons for skills actually reflect another step towards localization. Originally they had the Japanese character fir atk up on the icon. Now it's just a picture depicting the skill up. Or the words EX.

All day its, "Hmm maybe I should get a full set of SSR's for this element" or "No, no, I should get at least one SSR for this element" or "Ugh I know Yoda's good but he looks like stunty shit" and so on. Yoda or one of the wind meta team members would probably be your best bet if you're interested in something that'll be a big help with progression. Yoda is nuts for early and mid game (though what exactly constitutes mid-game is fairly murky) and Wind is the "easiest" element to gear up and gives you a good leg up on moving on to the other elements (assuming you take full advantage that order would be Wind > Earth > Water > Fire then whichever you prefer of Dark/Light).

Looking at the SSR's you already have you could Albel to pair with Jeanne, but Light is the biggest slog so arguably not a great element to start with, a Water (Silva) or Earth (Altheia) attacker, would give you solid pairings for those elements. Vila isnt as "good" as Jeanne so I'd consider Dark as the last thing you want to go for (unless you fancy the look of the units a lot).

Wind is "easier" for a few reasons, mostly:

... you can get Anat (who is pretty good) from the Casino and you get the Wind carbuncle for free from the stamp rewards. On top of that all the Tiamat magna weapons have attack passives and she's one of the "easier" Magna to farm (her weapon types are also arguably better as well). Wind is a pretty solid element to focus on.
