I was there this time! It's not a very rewarding thing, is it. :/
A lot of events give CP as rewards. In the previous Tales event, I got about 300 CP just trading casually.
I thought about that but I barely make any renown off of raids

It really depends on which timeslot your DO lands on, it's not like you have a choice.
Start using R teams and SR teams to leech, you'll get bonus renown for using each. R Teams are the quickest way to get up to 500 bonus renown a week, for each R in your frontline when the boss dies you get an additional 8 renown. You can also farm Hard Omega battles with these teams for faster renown gain.

honestly i been feeling that
not doing the tales event means i don't really have anything to really do outside of running hard raids for reown
i could do fates episode but i need time to sit and listen so eh
at least the celestial event is coming soon for yay more grinding

Taking a break from time to time isn't a bad thing.
At least GB has content while I stoped Tree of Savior because there is 0 content after you finished the quests.
Not much, really. I just like funny numbers.
Yeah, I'm just going to scale it back. The problem with GB is that there is ALWAYS something to grind for. I'm giving up on the GW character - too much grinding. I'll just play the events as they come and not worry about min-maxing.

eh, all in all, it's a dud event
the new weapons are pretty terrible which means most people don't really care to farm it, so they are basically done with the event after clearing all the easily done battles for crystals and getting the new character
hell, i can't even be bothered to do enough battles for the daily two ap pots for the event

Group F in the morning (evening america time), missed breaching it by 10% I was so mad that we lost only because of time.
Though I dont even come close to earning 500 shields to be able to share chest.
I haven't logged on for 3 weeks, the problem with the game isn't the content, which I think is great, its the grind required, even if you were to cut the grind required in half, I think it would still be too much. I think my plan is just play when magnafest is on, leeching is the best.
Forcing yourself to grind when you don't want to is the most surefire way to make yourself quit out of any game, not just GBF.

You can get gold bars for gw characters and really, really good weapons.
Also this time there will be a light and dark celestial too.

As with any other good online/MMO game you shouldn't get mentality "I should get everything", as there are usually too much things to do and they often include grind to make these things relevant for prolonged period of time.
So make a priorities what you want and how much time you are willing to spend and slowly go for them in satisfying manner. Take breaks when you feel tired, or you will get burned eventually.

Group D had the Defense Order boss down to its last bar...and then time ran out. Dang. Thought we were doing pretty good this time round.
*Shakes fist* At least I managed to farm quite a bit of Siege Shields with my noob team...some 400+, almost as much as a "Secured!" bonus. Not too bad.
Tip for those new to Defense Order: weaken the mobs first! Don't rush headlong into the area bosses if their goons are still marching around and giving them stat buffs!

Very true. It's the stupid casino that drives me the craziest because it's so boring. I hate "having" to grind it each day in order to buy my daily pots/anima. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to grind out 100k. Other times I lose on multiple Kings and 3s (you know what I mean) and it drives me insane.

It was horrible. There were so few people.
I participated until I saw how few people were there. Then I gave up. I think they need to do what they're doing with the Angel Halo dungeons - put two groups together. It's just impossible to win if there are only 2000 people participating
