This is PC version but it barely got any updates compared to PS5. Anyway, I will have Yotei tomorrow so I will finally see how it looks on OLED in person...
The lighting is subpar by current gen standards, regardless of what platform you're running it on. I WARNED GUERRILLA not to go this route with Burning Shores and they went ahead with it anyway. And what's the result of all of this? Legitimate debate over whether, and to what extent, a $60M game developed by artsy-fartsy baby brother studio Sucker Punch, looks better than $200M game developer by one of Sony's top 2 technical studios. Really amazing when you sit back and think about it.
This game is the perfect example of how you can have top class textures, geometry, facial animation, etc. But if your focus on lighting/shadows is nonexistent, particularly in the era of RT, your game will become outdated overnight.
