Gravity Rush 2 |OT| Mewton's Law of Gravity

So for anyone in the know about the storyline
can anyone tell me what the heck Neu Hiraleon is? Is it another city? Was it part of Hekseville? Why did Kat and Raven come to it?

Neu Hiraleon was the bad guy command centre from the first game. You couldn't access it back then.

Anyone have tips for the side mission "Diabolically Yours"? I don't have many upgrades or talismans, so I'm guessing I'm underpowered somehow? The meter builds so fast.

Also, do I even need to do this mission? Waiting for the next episode to pop up on the map.

Yesterday I got 3 treasure hints when I started the day, and rated a couple photos, and then never saw any again the rest of my 8 hours. Today is the same thing... a few hints, a couple photos that I found, and then NOTHING for the rest of the day, and I've been playing all day. Is that how it is supposed to work? How many treasure hints and photo rating opportunities are you all getting?

You don't have to wait for the next story mission. It's probably in another zone you can check if you open up the map and zoom all the way out.

Rely on your stasis field more?

Also for the main story, you just have to continue going upwards. There's a richer part of town, with mansions and what not. Look at your world map.

Use your Stasis Field. A lot.

Also save some soldiers to toss at the flying enemies.

Definitely one of the harder combat missions in the game,

The next main mission always pops up after you complete the previous mission, just find it through the main menu if you have trouble finding it on the map.

About to blow some brains. You don't have to wait for story missions to pop up. Press start > missions > main missions > select new mission.

Hit 70% earlier on, around 18 hours in. Really enjoying this game, not quite as much as the first, but that might simply have been the 'newness' factor.

Still, super solid.

Oh yea, that too lmao

Realized it eventually that I could do that instead of individually checking each map for sidequests.
Though I do it anyways, because I like to find the information spots.

Oh my god, the music for Lei Havina is AMAZING.

Btw, totally loving the game so far. Really polished. It's better than GR2, but even more so than I anticipated. The new supporting cast members are really good and the missions are pretty creative. I didn't mind the opening section at all. Pretty well-paced to ease you back into the mechanics, I thought.

Yea, I didn't mind it at all. By the time you leave for the city, you should've started to fall in love with the people of Banga.

From the Photo Mode thread because I'm sure we all can relate.

How it feels having a few thousand gems:

And then spending a ton of it with a little bit over a hundred or so.

Alright, this Chapter III escort mission, it's hell. It's terrible. Turn left? Police. Stick to the ground? Police. Jump across the buildings? Police. It's frustrating, it's mandatory, I hate it.

Some terrible sidequests and camera issues also plague this game, but beyond that it's an utter joy. Traversal is so good, it pretty much makes up for the rest of the flaws.

But this mission. Damn.

It's awful.

I found it easy for the most part, just went underneath the buildings where they can't see. It gets harder later in the chapter in terms of stealth when
you have to hide from robots and hack them and shit.

I'm near the end of the game/chapter 3 and this boss fight is fucking annoying
having to fight two angels who are OP as hell and can you throw you on the ground like a doll, man cheap as fuck.

Just did the
movie
sidequest. I love how clueless Kat is.

At least they did a wide variety. Coming off FFXV I really appreciate it.

One of my favorite quest. Hell probably the favorite quest. I enjoyed the dialogue and the
platforming
.

You don't really experience that area's music at it's best until you grab them water bubbles and stand on the highest place there :p

I spent like 1 hours just doing that and took many pics.

Haven't gotten that far, but my favorite sidequest so far is the hoax one.

Just got to chapter (episode?) 2. The slow start really worked for this game. But I'm mainly here to just state the obvious and say...

The camera is so good.

The camera is so good.

Do we know what determines how many Dusty Tokens you get for having someone find treasure from your picture? I just got a whopping 120 tokens for one, and 20 for another. How is it decided?

Edit: Oh, nevermind, I'm stupid. 6 people found treasure from one of my photos, so I got 6x the reward.

I'm glad that Kat and Raven are past the animosity of the first game and are such good friends. Character dynamic development can be nice even when it's simple.

Woah, a big glitch can happen when you get the Jupiter attack style during that mission. Really wish i saved the video before closing the application, but:

When you have to break through that wall with Raven, if you have your main power when you hold Circle, you can break it with that instead. But if you do, you get into this glowy, heavenly looking white arena, like there wasn't anything loaded there. You can fly around it, glitch through walls, etc.

Weird.

Man, why does Gravity slide still suck so much?

Its an unwieldy piece of shit. As soon as I use it, I go flying off into a different direction. It was the same in GR1 too.

Also I love how this game shows them both, especially Raven, as being crazy for food.

Gravity slide sucked on the Vita but it was fine in Remastered. I find it fine here, too.

I just posted a clip of this happening on this very page lol.

Target the flying enemies. They build meter way faster. You can plow through footmen by just mashing Circle around them.

I'm way into the Treasure Hunts. Assassin's Creed Syndicate had a similar thing going on and that was my main time sink in that game, but here the world is much more interesting and the photos are player-made.

Also do the Dusty Token leaderboards hint at this game's sales? I guess we have no idea of knowing about offline players or anyone who hasn't collected any tokens yet, but right now it lists ~60,000 people.

Just did that stealth mission people dislike. Found it rather easy. Just go under the map! win/win

It's what I just did. But it took me a while to even go under, because of the outrageously over the top patrols that see everything from 128192 kilometers away.

This game is ridiculously gorgeous, and with an equally amazing soundtrack as the first game had, I spend a lot of time just cruising around looking and taking pictures. And having just finished GR1:R, this one handles like a dream. Really glad this skipped the holiday rush so I have more time to saunter through and savor it.
