Reviews seem mostly positive from what I’ve read. Surprised by the lack of advertising for this.
I forgot about the Christmas special...I couldn't sit thru the Christmas special. It was just bad.
And now I heard that you sorta have to see it to understand some things that happen in the movie.
I have no idea why they do this, this is dumb.
Then it must be real shit.Mario stomped on it.
Mario stomped on it.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie was expected to reach $1 billion in global box office sales and it seems it will achieve this milestone by the end of the weekend.
According to a new update from Deadline, the Universal, Illumination and Nintendo movie will surpass the billion-dollar mark by Sunday, making it the first movie of 2023 to reach this figure. If all goes to plan, it will have taken just 26 days to achieve this.
Critic's score is completely tainted since Chris Pratt is involved. Mario also got "mixed" reviews because Pratt.
They definitely should reboot/delay it if this is true:If they were smart they would shut all marvel movies down, sell merchandise and rides at their theme parks, and reboot it in 5 years this time w FF4 and XMen after people had a breather.
No movie genre can dominate for so long. People eventually get tired if it. The quality has dipped for sure but I think it's superhero fatigue.

But quarterly profits means that will never happen and it will continue to be driven into the ground.

But part of me is also curious of the dumper fire the current Disney writers will come up with.

Has there ever been a female Thing? I feel like there must have at some point. Rule 34 here we come
Eh, if Disney hadn't oversaturated the market with mediocre/sub par movies and series (phase 4) but instead kept giving us Ironman 1, Infinity War levels of quality throughout, there wouldn't be this fatigue I'd bet.Capeshit was the worst thing to ever happen to cinema. The past decade and a half has been an abomination. Thank god it’s ending.
These movies usually grossed 700-800 million like it was nothing. Ant-Man 3 grossed only 470 million with a gigantic budget of 200 million and likely lost money as marketing is also a huge expense on top of the movie budget.
IMHO there's only a few characters in the MCU that has been written well and treated with respect by the writers and not devolved into some dumb caricature of themselves.
Tony Stark, Peter Parker, and Nebula.
Nebula is the only reason this movie might not be complete shit and why I might watch it, because they might still treat her character with some respect.
Everything else about the GotG schtick has gotten tiresome...Drax is still dumb, Mantis still useless, Starlord still a goof....what has changed?
