A new trilogy without Bungie. I'm so excited they turned it into a yearly release Call of Duty clone, bruh

So 2010 and 2012 are "yearly" now eh? I'll make a note of that homeslice. Or if you could fill me in on the 2011 Halo that would be great, I'd like to add it to my GF que.

Halo CE Remake in 2011 counts!

Easily the worst Halo trailer I've ever seen. Why is Master Chief putting a silencer on his pistol? Halo, what happened to you? :(
Maybe it's hinting at some gameplay?

Why is him putting a silencer on the pistol bad?

So fucking dumb, I hope to see you in every thread of every game ever to have a sequel.

I don't really get how this franchise is getting "milked into the ground." By time it's released, this will be the first proper Halo game in 2 years, and the first one to star the Chief in 5.

It's not. It's just the idiots that come out of the woodwork during E3.

Couldn't be happier. I understand the haters who have series fatigue, but I am ready for someone other than Bungie to step in and take the reigns. Based on what they've done with Waypoint and the extra content they've managed since stepping in, 343 "gets" what I love about Halo more than Bungie ever did, especially in their last two games.

Can't wait.

Reach might as well have starred the Chief in terms of gameplay. Same for ODST.

Fixed, and you will.

A new trilogy? Really?[/IMG]

Because there aren't 5 Metal gears (about to be 6), 14 Final Fantasy's, 4 (will be 5) Assassin's Creed's, 5 Gran Turismos, etc.

Yeah, yeah the "they aren't all similar" argument, but if the games are solid and fun, ill keep taking them.

So Frankie when do the weekly updates start rolling in? I hope this a bungie tradition that is being carried over to 343i.

For me, I think it's just the incongruity of what is seen in the trailer and how we know things ended from Halo 3's ending. I don't necessarily have a problem with the pistol itself (the jetpack is really strange to me, though).

4 games is a lot now? Truly Halo has turned into CoD.

Because releasing a main line sequel every 3 years is milking.

As for the books, having supplementary content for fans of the fiction is hardly a big deal. By your standards just about every famous franchise has been milked.

Seriously. When they announce God of War 4 I can guarantee you won't hear the "milking" outcry as loud as you are for Halo.

Halo 4 could be like twilight princess and come out for both 360 and Xbox 3 the xbox 3 version will probably have extra features and better graphics

So it's Halo 4, after the Halo Trilogy ended... without Bungie or any of the people who made Halo what it was....

Yeah, I like Halo... I've always liked Halo... but this ain't getting my mojo working. Maybe because it was dulled to death by three hours of waggle wiggle.

Reach and ODST don't count?

Obviously Halo isn't as big of a milkfest as COD, but they certainly aren't really holding their sequels back. Not that I blame them, as it is MS' flagship franchise.

Gotcha, the jetpack bugged me as well but I'm guessing that they just wanted to give hints of what to expect from gameplay.
