Halo 5: Guardians |OT5| Is HaloGAF irrelevant now?

So only in-progress custom games? If you don't have anyone in a group you just have to start a match and hope people join for the next match?

Observer Mode is great but I can't see any pros letting you join scrims if you have the ability to change to an actual playing team yourself. Could be wrong though. Can't say I used Spectating that much on my Xbox, but this will be great for Pro League for streaming so shots actually look like they're registering.

didn't even see the helmets. They all look good honestly.

Forge Minigames?! Sounds like that initial Forge reveal, except something official instead of playing with honor rules.
Mk V Delta yesssss. I can't believe they actually listened to my incessant complaining.
Don't get too excited just yet, we haven't seen the armor! Also in that preview pic, the helmet looks small like the Decimator helmet. Taking the necessary precautions by pulling back some of the HYPE until we see it fully lol. It's awesome that they're bringing back several classics though.

Shame the Security helmet isn't the Halo 3 version. We can't all be winners though. Probably can't actually do it due to Marathon. I blame Bungie, no really it works this time.

I'd imagine to circumvent the former you just set a max party size for your custom game, boot it up and then get everyone to join in. I'd imagine you'd stay in the lobby after that game finishes, even if there's not a "queue" option or something.

Shame you can't use RP. I'd be a total Santa if that were the case.
So in the article they say that using RP is susceptible to account abuse, but wouldn't using money be even worse? You know because if someone is actually able to get into my account, I'd rather they used fake money rather than real money.

I wonder... would doing shit in custom game browser like Spartan Charges work towards Achilles? I mean, technically it's matchmaking. lol

I reckon it's more likely that they don't want people with hoards of RP to just buy everyone enough req packs to complete everything.

Also money.

they don't want people selling gold req packs for real money with the huge amounts of RP people have saved i think is what they mean

Yep, they don't want people creating a second hand market with people selling gold reqs for like $2 or something with their req points. They probably want to avoid people getting scammed.

Hmm yeah, I don't see it either. Just seems like FLUFF to deny us of spending these millions of RP to help each other ;'[

"10 Gold Packs for 1600 Microsoft Points" -- 343 stay slaying my business endeavors.
LOL

I'd really like to know more about this because it seems like the money only option would be worse.

They probably just don't want people selling their RP purchased gift packs for real money, which would create a black market and hurt 343s own earning potential. They also wouldn't be want do deal with the people complaining about being scammed while trying to buy black market gift packs.

I think it would have been neat if streamers and anyone hosting a tournament could use RP to give out to subs/participants

They could easily limit the amount of giftable REQ packs purchased with req points to 10 per week or something like that but yea they won't do that cause $$$

I have all REQs unlocked anyway

More like they would lose money if guys like Funk and ExWife and others who have unlocked everything and sitting on hundreds of thousands to million plus REQ points started gifting golds to others. By making sure you can only do it through $3 buys, they still make profit on the REQ packs and their in-game economy doesn't get skewed by people giving low rank guys gold packs right away.

How good do those gen1 and other Bungie designs look. Can't wait. Just look at that difference in the MK V.

R A D A R changes coming, what could it mean?!
Hopefully it's either to remove it from certain playlists, or changing default radar to function like the Advanced Sensors mod where you only appear when you shoot, sprint, etc.

I know after trying doubles again a few days ago (mistake), radar needs to go.

We don't deserve you 343! This is too good!!! I know I am going to faint when I see what's in store for Forge tomorrow.

Btw, those Reach helmets look like the exact models they used in Reach. Which is a damn good thing. 343 is even listening to our feedback on the armor.

But will they have black undersuits!?

I didn't dare to mention it... But this is a good sign for Halo 6, right??

I'd say so. They listened to the feedback on armor and acted on it, that's a pretty good indication they know what we want in the future. Hell, all of Halo 5 is a pretty good sign for Halo 6.

Edit: Nilla's excessive gif usage is acceptable in this context.
