Why sell it then if chances are it's going to be working in a week?
I think the Helioskull is a bit too out there personally but its nice to see one aspect pick up after the bit of decline 4 was in that regard. Hopefully the rest of them is like this with regards to armor design it would be nice to see some more at the level of those previews.

I really would, Jem. I love what I've played but ugh, so frustrating to have the game available and unplayable

I figured out how to set up a capture the flag map. Now to make the spawns work.

I dunno. I was less upset waiting for release.
That's because you were hyped for release and never expected to be playing the game before the 11th.
It would be much worse if a few days before release they suddenly decided to delay the game for a week IMO. At least I've got some fun out of the game.

That's pretty much my thinking. 343 has straight up said they aren't going to have any major updates until next week. What has changed since that time? Either you were okay with that announcement or you should have made a decision to return the game. People who keep knowingly playing the game and then acting more upset that nothing has changed are only punishing themselves. It's really that simple.
People like to make post, like Fracas, to vent their frustration. I'd say its pretty common sense on how to get a refund - you talk to Xbox Support.
I've seen hundreds of post like that with various game, where people claim they are taking it back, or getting a refund on it. If they ever pull through and actually do it? I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, though.

Come on man, no-one here is okay with what's going on. Regardless of how we feel about refunds.
Because people want the devs to show they are angry, though in the way of an upset child.

Maybe at Amazon, yeah, but Gamesttop wont have that game for less than 50 Dollars for 2 or 3 motnhs depending if the problem is fixed.

Fracas just wants attention and people are giving it to him. He doesn't believe Halo deserves the success it has received, yet continues to post in Halo threads and now posts about wanting a return less than a week from release. I mean, if people want to return it already that's their prerogative, but there is more in this collection than just MM lol.
Where do you get those? My BDAY is around the corner and 20% is perfect, Is it preowned or also for new games?

Ok, and I agree. Some folks hope to scare developers into some kind of a panicked frenzy (which is complete nonsense. I know the guys and girls at 343 are making an effort to fix this already), and don't follow through with the proposed refund. But there are genuine Halo fans here who are going to refund, and they have valid reasons to do so.

And it's only pre-owned but still, that's some pretty rad savings.

Why not instead of getting a refund, buy Sunset Overdrive or AC: Unity, spend a week beating it, then resell that. By then, MCC will work better and you won't be out much money and get to play a good game in the meantime. It's exactly what I'm doing with SO and I'm happy.

Of course they are valid, I just would never do it myself for a game. Back then when patches weren't an option for games, and stores told me if I opened the game I won't be able to return it, I just made the best out of those games.
I still do that this way.
I'm even worse, I bitch about the Halo games I don't even buy.

343 is going to need a lot longer than a week to fix the numerous issues that plague this game. I'm assuming you mean the multiplayer searching, but that doesn't fix the random crashing that occurs when you finish a game.

Didn't they say a CU to help fix MM issues was due out next week? To be fair, we only know the severity of the symptoms of the problems, not the complexity of fixing them. The two aren't necessarily proportionate. I foresee that MM will be much smoother next weekend, especially since MS and 343 have their best people working quickly to mitigate this disaster. Worst case scenario, you trade in SO and buy AC or FC4 and spend another week with MCC on the shelf.

Hopefully it mesh nicely to give them the sort of used and worn feel that works well with that sort of thing. Personally I think the katana chest piece is a bit tacky.

Its possible that most of the problem, including some that are happening in Single Player are network problems, so this MM issue could fix a lot of bugs going on, and not just quick MM search.
Worst case scenario: matchmaking is fixed next week and crashes fixed the week after. This is entirely dependent on how/why the crashes are occurring.
Though likely we get a majority of problems fixed in the next patch since it seems most things are revolving around networking (or at least is the cause)

Yeah. Weirdly I think the Halo 3 beta armor looked like a good take on that. Not sure how well it'd translate to the high res armor that we have now though.
I liked the katana more so because I really love swords as opposed to the look itself. It looked a bit tacky and meaningless yeah. However I've always hoped that if it ever returned that they would create special assassinations for it and the blade would look futuristic and badass. Maybe with some lasers. Make it difficult to get as well and I would be sooooo happy.

Finished the first version of my map. It's a 2-way symmetric CTF focused map. Got lots of trick jumps. I've called it Whiplash. What do you guys think?

Agreed. Like I said, just because the problems are very annoying doesn't mean that the underlying cause is extremely difficult to fix

And yeah, I've triple tested those man cannons, they're very very close to being dangerous.

Likely worst case scenario: MM gets much better next week and steadily improves after that, crashes and UI bugs etc. steadily get improved after that as well.
