All Cryptum had was a bunch of uninformed characters making assumptions.
No one's dead until you see the body/see them explode, though it's not like that stopped Halo characters before.
The Bear likes to mislead - see: detailed descriptions of a certain key creature, somehow omitting the
BEING MADE UP OF ROTTING DEAD THINGS
part until the end of the sequel.

I didn't get the sense
The Primordial was actually a Gravemind in the sense we've seen--rotting corpses assembled into Audrey II--but rather the Didact believed that it was a Flood form taking the appearance of a Precursor. It's a bit unclear, but I definitely don't think the Primordial was a shambling bunch of corpses--we get a clear description, and if anything it's more akin to a Pure Form. Can we just bring Bobby Cox back already? This charade has gone on long enough.

I wish. Freddi G makes some of the worst decisions as a manager I've seen in a very long time. Bunting at completely the wrong times, putting in pitchers with a track record for disaster, playing back-ups in must win games. It's frustrating watching as a former college ball player. I've been calling for his fire since day one.

Holy shit, that's Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam! I was in a gate exactly like that one (as opposed to the varying other ones). The triangular beams and the dutch colours give it away.

Beams in your photo are round

Beams in other photo are not round

lol Bravos.

I'm debating going through the series again. Have Halo: CEA, need to go through that completely. I've not played Halo 2 since launch though...is the single player really as bad as I remember?

I've been doing a stream of the campaigns of 1-3. CEA was great, 2 started great, then I played as the arbiter, then high charity, then flood. It's not the worst, but it is rough.

Yeah...that's how I recall it as well.

CEA should be fun because I haven't played the original in years and get to waste some time getting achievements.

Halo Wars is the only entry in the series that I've just never touched.

Camo was always fun though, even though I only really ever skipped encounters using it on Legendary. I got my dream fulfilled a bit more in Reach because I could activate camo, assassinate the biggest, strongest alein in the room, and then once everyone flips out and realizes I just took out their leader I get to start blowing everybody else up.

Why is no one doing me? Am I not desirable?

Im going in... dry.

Even though the ending was spoiled for me, it really doesn't change anything.

I knew long before I played Halo 3 that Johnson died. By the time I got to that point it wasn't even in my mind. Even if it was, knowing he died meant nothing in light of how badass his death sequence was.

Camo never really worked for me in Reach. In fact... I dunno if they tuned them to be balanced for multiplayer, but armor abilities in general just weren't that great. Armor lock can be useful for shedding a grenade or stopping the cheap Elite 1-hit KO kicks if you've got good timing, but far and away sprint is usually the most useful (especially for skipping encounters.) The AI never seems tricked by hologram or sees right through my camo.

That doesn't really contradict what I said.
I didn't mean its overall form, but the disgusting Flood exterior which should be immediately recognizable and has been omitted by the author/licensor to maintain an air of mystery surrounding the thing.

“How can you be the last of anything?” the Didact asked. “I see now that you are nothing more than a mash-up of old victims infected by the Flood.(...)"

As for taking the appearance of a Precursor, it's possible, the book definitely hints at that, but its shape also seems to change between books and the form we're introduced to seems overly cumbersome and maybe a little too primitive for the closest thing to a Halo "God".

New FuD trailer.

Well, I haven't seen it before. It has a little bit of new footage (like a few seconds)
Goddd hype is through the roof. I can't say enough how great they've done with this series. I really didn't see myself getting into it but damn... can't wait for the next episode. Only thing that sucks is counting down the episodes til it's over.

I'm playing through Reach again, and remembered something that I always wondered about. Why is it so important that the Saber program be kept secret? Did the UNSC not have space fighters already? Is it classified just to keep the info away from the Covenant?

Keeping it top secret from insurrectionists, possibly?

Same... the story isn't what I love about Halo, but DAMN does this series make me want to get deep into it. :) Fridays are the highlight of my week.
