I personally enjoyed talking about Mirror's Edge. The moment you begin nailing every jump, wallrun, slide etc into one flawless run, you truly feel badass. Such a rewarding game IMO, and it didn't need to throw XP counters and unlocks at me to do so.

It was a good game but some parts were really frustrating. I played it after playing portal 2 though so Portal 2 being such a good experience may have hurt my experience with Mirror's Edge.

Which parts did you find frustrating? For me it was sequences that mostly forced your hand in picking up a gun. The game absolutely shines though when it's just you trying to make it from point A to point B as fast as possible. The exterior levels that have you going across rooftops, cranes, scaffolding, etc. were my highlights. If they manage to tighten up the gunplay for Mirror's Edge 2 (if it ever releases) that would be a huge plus.

Gonna FINALLY play Skyward Sword for the first time after Christmas :B
Motion controls are still keeping me away. Thinking about replaying OOT, MM and WW soon though.

Same. I hated the interior portions and combat situations.

Lots of people also loved vanilla Halo. Id est, being able to drop the flag, press X to pick up the oddball, arm a bomb, be knocked out of scope, and not sprint, among other things.

Why was the Halo: Reach Title Update philosophy dropped during the development of Halo 4?

I'm trying my very best, but alas, I cannot find anything uncivil about the tone of u4ix's voice. Fuck me.

I simply try to speak to people as I would in real life. That's all.

Oh come on. Don't tell me you ignore straightforward questions in real life. There's no way you're that sensitive.

hooooly shit I just played a CTF match on Wreckage and who DESIGNED this lump of garbage?

there's an entire part of the map where if you're looking one way you cannot see anything but a bright light

like WHAT?

Super Mario All-Stars RPG with increased difficulty and extended dungeons remade with updated graphics and remastered sound would be worth a playthrough... I dont see it happening.

Sorry! Totally forgot to exit the game when I went AFK.

Its fine I pooped on you a bit and left. We should defintely plan a H2Vista night for HaloGAF.

Finally, HaloGAF has reached the JRPG hour. My favorites off the top of my head, didn't give it much thought:

Final Fantasy IX
Final Fantasy VI
Chrono Trigger
FF Tactics
Super Mario RPG
Final Fantasy IV
Paper Mario: TTYD

Also, I'm playing Persona 4 Golden at the moment, and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Sidenote: What happened to Square? It's so sad to look at the list of games I made and then think about what they are now.

hated Tactics Advances dopey law system, that shit always ruined my day.

Even though I like TA a lot, the law system was so stupid.

I would give Square any amount of money they choose if they would make that. But, yeah, it'll never happen. The best we're gonna get from Square is Mario sports games.

Learning the art of the Super Jump in Super Mario RPG was like a rite of passage.

What are you using guns for?
Playing through the game on the hardest difficulty without ever shooting a gun is the best way to go.

Oh I don't use them anymore, I just feel that it was a very poor mechanic. And yes, hardest no guns is the best way to go.

Like in sorry I slurp but I just really like the game and I'm not that good

Don't apologize Heckfu. If you enjoy the game, good for you. Don't let our negativity affect you. I actually envy you for liking the game :/

edit: the AR is very fun to use and I very much enjoy using it

fucking love you, bitch

I liked A2 Only like 30 battles in but it seemed decent.

Yeah, it's an OK game. My big problem with it is that the battles were so slow, even compared to A1. And the story was really lame. But the core was as good as A1. I want to go back to it someday, I think I still have my copy.

edit: Dang it guys, I'm trying to talk about final fantasy here
