Consistently at about 5-8% of the population (so roughly 5-8k on most nights), recently the high placement on the listing and the Infinity Challenge being tied to it increased that to 10-15%. So a standard base proportionally higher than Team Objective before during Reach, still not stellar numbers. Not exactly sure what to attribute the increase to. I've seen enough people totally ignore the objective to wonder how much more accessible it actually is (especially considering how difficult offense has become if a team chooses to bunker down and camp), but I think it also isn't plagued by quite as horrible playlist management decisions as Reach TO was for so long (drop shield, then evade, then awful fringe gametypes, then 343 reinforcing that by miscategorizing those fringe gametypes every step of the way, then shoving 5v5 into maps obviously not designed for it).Has the CTF playlist population been consistently high? I wonder if they removed the carrier waypoint, would a significant number of players abandon that playlist because they've become too accustomed to that crutch?
I don't have a ton of love for Reach, but a recent trip back to Team Objective and playing real CTF and gametypes missing from H4 like Neutral Bomb was a total breath of fresh air.
