DICE announced in details about their packs/expansions way ahead if time so it is easier for everyone to make their decision. We have absolutely have no idea what to expect from the coming packs till few weeks from release. I mean h2/3 had the same exact idea of variety in map packs.
Let's be honest, if you bought one map pack you are very likely to get the other ones sooner or later.
This is a good idea and makes sense. Therefore, this will never happen.
I'm playing the Crimson playlist now... everyone is only voting for Shatter. I want to play the other maps to see what they're like!

343i is so quiet about everything H4 until about a week before release.
I'm not liking the direction Halo is headed one bit. The decisions behind playlist management and removal of legacy features without clarification as to why those two decisions were made is unbelievable. I mean the core gameplay is solid but the added fluff on top is killing halo for me. Again, 343i needs to interact more.

Extraction on Shatter is good fun. KOTH, however, is not.
CTF on Harvest is awesome. Infinity Slayer isn't bad either, but if you're not in a vehicle its probably wisest to stick to the bottle-necked middle passage unless you have a heavy weapon.
Wreckage is great for Oddball, and the many nooks and crannies keep the vehicles from being overpowered. As an Infinity Slayer or CTF map, however, the Red Team is clearly given an advantage with two (!) man-cannons leading to an easily defendable high-ground. On Red Team it was incredibly easy to spam Camo and long-range DMR -- those opportunities don't emerge on the blue side.
Overall a fun map pack...Halo 4 is still framy, and still buggy, but it's also a hell of a lot of fun.

Updated to exclude the Crimson Map Pack since that's available for everyone..

I hate to say this - but at this point they might aswell just make the dlc free - at the moment it's free for Americans but costs money for Europeans. Pretty stupid that.
No kidding, that's some old stuff. Had those for years.

I'm not downloading these maps, even for free. I'm very sorry! I am quite the fan of Haven and Adrift, though.
I would like to see Construct remade for Halo 4, I think it would play well.. even with the jetpack.

eh, stealth isn't all that great. you still show up as red, pv can still see you behind walls if youre firing, and I'm pretty sure if your switching weapons / reloading (?) too.
after using it for pretty much a whole specialization I feel it's not worth it

Thats RIGHT.
You need to check your specializations. If they're not unlocked, enter your code. If they're still not unlocked, make sure you add it to your download queue. Once your specializations work, go to War Games, then try to enter the DLC playlist. It'll pull up the marketplace.

I can see alot of people mentioning LE, Which I have. Is there a problem regarding the code or what?
I redeemed that code first day. Will I get the 9 maps automatically? Or Will I have to do something to get them?

The problem was, that people who bought the LE/map pass couldn't access the Crimson Map Pack in-game and if they were looking on the marketplace, the map pack would cost 800MSP. Now the problem is fixed and LE/map pass owner can download the Map Pack via the in-game menu.
Some people, which got the Specialization code, with the e-mail are getting the maps for free, too.
TL; DR: Just go to the main menu, of Halo 4 and go to the "Xbox Live downloadable content" section and select the Crimson Map Pack. Download it and you are good to go.
Found one of the the headless guy's profiles. Apparently it's a mod that allows you to remove all the armor from your Spartan, thus allowing the hitbox for the head to vanish - meaning only body shots will kill you. The glitch/hack/mod/whatever apparently started popping up last week.

See the problem is on a bigger scale because only USA players got the specialisation codes, and only they receive the free map pack.

Lol. It's part of a wider trend in Halogaf threads. I remember a junior posting 'no homo'; predictably the next half of the page was quoting it with things like

Ok. Then I remember Devin Olsen (sorry to call you out) posting it and not a single response was posted. If people are going to get offended by words on the internet they should try to at least be consistent. Dunno, sometimes it just seems like an excuse to pounce on a junior and show everyone how correct they are. I could be wrong though. I think Kittens is consistent.
A billion forum posts frothing with fury won't change the direction of Halo. I doubt it factors into even 10% of game design decisions. The only data that will really make a difference will be games sold, DLC sold (sniggers) and online population over 6 month periods. If people are really not happy about Halo they should stop playing it, like Overdoziz. Only when the population is really bad could I see any significant changes being made.

Map pass owner.wasted 800 points. had to wait 9 hours to download maps only to find out a little later that they are free. 343i is rock solid
