Hey sleeping dogs is $10 on amazon. It's suppose to be awesome and this is much cheaper than what it was during the winter steam sale, so I'm buying it.
I don't think the machinima community was ever the intended audience for video rendering. The intended audience was people who want to share cool moments or matches without having to purchase a capture card, and that audience continues to benefit the most from streamlining it and making it more accessible by throwing it straight to YouTube. Think about it, people who are serious about making machinima and actually care about video quality outside of "is this HD? okay, good" are probably willing to go the extra mile and get a capture card. It's not like the paywalled render minute system was ideal for them, either.Gonna be honest here: unless there's a direct feed download included, I do not want Render To Youtube as a feature. It does nothing for its intended audience of machinimators if we have to download compressed video off of youtube before even using it.
Makes sense. It sounds like total crap coming from LED TV's speakers. The problem with the Hammer noises is that like 90% of the good sound it makes (in Halo 4) is bass on a certain level that just plain doesn't show up as effectively on televisions. People with super HD headphones might have better luck hearing it, but listening to the raw sound it's kind of baffling they decided on keeping the sound the way it is. Sounds too much like mechanical birdcalls without the bass.
Sound badass on my A50.
Wake me.

10/10. (Even though I don't agree, etc)

Do you really think I was serious....whatever dude.Bingo. That's because you're hearing 100% of the badass sound effect. People just listening to their TVs are probably going to be hearing it at about 20% of its real effect.
You guys should buy some Bose speakers to rectify this.
And to Havok: I know instant rendering isn't intended for machinimators but if 343's truly trying to appeal to all of their communities like they say they are, getting an optional direct feed download (even if it's just in the youtube description and hosted on microsoft servers) would go miles to making filmmaking more manageable for the community as a whole. I remember Halo 3 alone had people pumping out machinima left and right - granted, not too much of it was good, there's still something heartwarming by seeing such activity among the community well into the game's lifetime.
Holy shit. :lol Chief for douchebag of the year confirmed.
"CHIEF WE HAVE PEOPLE TO SAVE"
"get on my level pls" *lays down*

Wow that Spartan Ops CG episode was sick!
Is it just the CG episode that's up, or are the missions available too?DAT CG
Sure, I get that. I'm just responding to the very specific thing you mentioned: that you'd rather not have the feature at all if it didn't have those niche options and countering with the idea that more features are always better than fewer. Unless they're totally broken, I guess. Ideally, they'd cater to as many audiences as possible with their feature set, but at this point I think Youtube rendering is mandatory if they want to achieve any semblance of feature parity with the competition. Serious case of hoverhand.
Serious case of hoverhand.
Missions too. Currently doing the first one... Love it! Whoever said it last week was right, these play out like campaign missions now.
Damm, we need a higher res version of this...
Browser Bomb incoming.

Gotta <3 you man... and with this I'm going to bed.
Deadly Cyclone has drawn a line in the sand. Supports 343, hates the cartographers.
I like the cut of this man's jib.

That's great.
Popping H4 in my console.
Out and shit with instant respawns, apparently.
I like not getting blown up, but there really needs to be a bit more indicator of when someone has scored.
