Oh hey HaloGAF.

Just queued up the Defiant Map Pack for download when I get back from work. Gonna be a long day.

Btw, is it just me, or does Highlands remind anyone of Timberland from Halo PC?

I was kind of disappointed when I broke out of Highlands. The skybox is pretty when you're on the ground, but the moment you go up, stuff starts disappearing and you immediately see the edge of the map and such.

Condemned and Unearthed are other matters, however. Purdy.

Yeah, Highlands is a Pan-Cam party pooper but the skybox is pretty sweet anyway, so it's cool.

Love Unearthed and Condemned, particularly loved exploring the mine site fully.

I need to ask, because it terrifies me each time I see it.

What in the hell is your avatar of? Did you really used to have that much hair?
It's Oh Dae-su from the splendid (and dark) Korean film Oldboy.

Well, for some reason Defiant is hidden in the Marketplace.

Either use this or go to game market place, add ons, TOP RATED, and it should be there. It's not under Halo Reach and its not under newest...yet anyway.

Kinda lame the maps are available put we can't properly play them.

Yeah, all those few hours wasted!

...

Just like the Noble playlist, it will be up later in a few more hours. Take the time to explore the maps, learn weapon placements, play Customs or even try Unearthed with Firefight with Score Attack. Or maybe some other time filling activities like socialising, sleeping, earning an income, eating or punching kittens. The world is your oyster.

Man, what an awesome end to trying to win a Defiant code these past days - I just checked my email to see that I won a code from Tim Seppala's Twitter giveaway!

He had five to give away, the first two he hid two of the letters, the first one were the same three letters which I got too late, the second one was with two letters missing that had to do with the Mazdas that had a certain engine which I would have gotten years ago in an instant but was late AGAIN (RX), then he was giving the other two by taking all of the retweeters and putting them in a list and getting the winner randomly via random.org - I didn't realize that I had to retweet to get in so I missed that opportunity, so I retweeted for the next one and went to bed to get up the next day to finally get to working on my Masters' thesis since it was so late, thinking it was over...

...till I check my email a while ago seeing that I had won the random winner code! I was shocked as hell to see that I won, totally unexpected and it felt good winning one in the end after all these days, right down to trying out HBO's Pelican flash game - I've been trying to log into Twitter for the longest to thank him back, but I think it's because I left my laptop on at home that I can't log in - so happy right now, it's like it's a reward for pushing myself to getting back to work on my thesis!

No need to be sarcastic.

And for the record, if you're going to start making things personal my saying I should be going out. Guess what? I can't. That's what a double scoliosis operation does to you, which takes 12 months to recover from.

Got the maps mainly for Highlands but I have to say Unearthed (?) is completely awesome. By far the best firefight map and almost a completely different experience than the previous ones. I felt it almost played a bit like a campaign mission with all the different areas to play around with. Wish it had a regular hog on it.

Chill dude. I wasn't talking personally - unless you're a kitten. I'm not the offensive type.
Ask the enemy team, hah

If you wanna help out, try finding and then deciphering the radio on Highlands. I'm dying to find out but I can't make out more than a few words here and there.

Better yet, help find the radio on Condemned if you can. Be the first to find it. I spent an hour and gave up. =/

Does no one find it suspicious that the file size for the Defiant Map Pack so dramatically increased? When you consider that the 3 maps were less than 500 MB before yesterday and now they're almost 700 MB, that's enough space for an additional map (or perhaps a .map file that contains new armory items).

Ah yes sarcasm, if you dont do it right, you look like an assclown and persuade millions of fans that your next game is an MMO.

Shit. =/

I swear if anyone beats me to the market in the kitten punching MMO sub-genre, I'll sue.

I don't think "suspicious" is the right word. That would suggest that I suspect some ulterior motive of adding about 200 MB to the file size. I think it's just the fixes people have been reporting (unable to see the maps in game, etc).

this this... I'm sure most definitely do this. I do it to every map. It's kind of awesome actually. Seeing the map for the first time before all of the mayhem, its great... Plus you can find the weapon spawns. You know that's basically the reason most community maps don't play well the first few games, because you don't know the spawns, but the other team does most times. :/ Fucking love Highlands...

More than likely due to the firefight map this time.
