c) It leaves the rest of your team weaker (poor sportsmanship)
Trueskill is the same way as it was in Social playlists in Halo 3. I can count dozens of posts by players here who would post stats or games from their destruction to the opposition in Social Slayer, Social BTB, etc. The system hasn't been very good in unranked systems, period. Works fine in my experience for ranked playlists and for Arena.Blinding said:If TrueSkill wasn't broken in Reach

I would agree TrueSkill or Bungie's use of TrueSkill does not give enough good even matches. But ones failure does not justify anothers sin. If anything, if matched versus a weak group you should want to finish the game quickly in the hopes of finding a more equal match. If you to pick on people go the park and beat up little kids.Blinding said:If TrueSkill wasn't broken in Reach, then nobody should have to quit ever. Would you agree that TrueSkill has a helping hand in the problem of griefing, and that if it was actually consistent on matching people within each others skill range, that what little griefing is going on now (because, come on, it's not rampant at all through matchmaking,) would be reduced to an even smaller size?
Eh.. no. I can't agree with that. Feels like a fallacy, one used to justify your argument. The punishment includes being forced to practically run away. Anyway - Forcing a person to quit once or twenty times, neither is right.Blinding said:Like I said above, it isn't at all rampant through matchmaking, so quitting shouldn't result in any penalty or punishment unless you quit out regularly.
It's the least important of my points, more what I'd say about quitting in general, so I'll leave it to the side for now.Blinding said:If someone is able to get 20+ flag kills against the other team, then I don't see why making the team weaker is a factor, with that in consideration. If anything, I'd figure that if someone quit from the other team, it would more then likely convince the others to quit as well (and again, I don't play to make people quit, just want to make that clear.)
Of course. Just as it's not uncommon to see games won by 20 or so kills in early Team Slayer games in a ranked Team Slayer playlist. It gains more information as games are being played and counted.king picollo said:Arena only works if you've been rated, some of the most ridiculously unbalanced games i've had have been in Arena, because i've never been rated.

now do you have that version or the testing one, because I have the testing one and due to the map its just not funBlinding said:I'd actually love to join in and play this gametype, that I just happened to get my hands on, seems like it'd be fun.

Game type and idea are fun just the map that makes its...ehhh
Ok well that is now on the list as well, you should put it up on your fileshare.Blinding said:I have the version that's in the video.

For the unranked stuff through Halo 3 and Reach, it's been poor.

That actually looks a bit overdone to me. Ideally it should be dripping juice and blood all over the plate under it. It's not technically undercooked, period. Rare Steak, even bloody is cooked enough to kill most bacteria, and good quality meat should be tender and melting cooked rare and medium rare.Gui_PT said:I cannot understand how Americans eat undercooked meat like that

However, I am not one of those people who calls well done steak eaters monsters. If you prefer your steak blasted all to gray he'll, then good for you.
Depending on the cut I eat mine medium rare, but I always have burgers cooked medium because I prefer the taste that way.
Gui_PT said:I should've said it looks undercooked for what my meat tends to look like (no jokes about this sentence please)
Didn't mean to say people were cooking their meat incorrectly or anything like that. Just feels weird to me that the meat was partially not cooked.

I did not know this. That's awesome.GhaleonEB said:Some things are known. There were two missions set on Earth at the very end, and the Arbiter and the Chief team up to go after Truth in the last one, bringing their parallel story lines together. The moment where the Arbiter kills Truth in Halo 3 plays out almost exactly as it was planned at the end of Halo 2.

Everyone on my roster was partied up tonight so I decided to play alone. That was a terrible idea. I went into Squad then looked at my laptop. I heard laughing so I looked up and saw a party of 4 and a random matched against me and a Corporal with 3 guests. They were commenting on how jacked it was and that I was probably pissed. I stayed to see how it would play out, but I should have just Dashboarded right when I looked up. The main guy has played 10 games and has a .51 K/D. I don't get it, I really don't. I am so disgusted right now, and I just keep shaking my head.

I suppose if I play alone I should avoid Squad, but the other options aren't great either. You really just can't play alone.
This is pretty much what I do. Steaks nice and juicy in the medium-rare range and burgers cooked to a point where you can eat them without them falling apart or getting cow juice all over you.OuterWorldVoice said:That actually looks a bit overdone to me. The only thing your plate was missing was something green (salad, broccoli, green beans... SOMETHING). The meat... was perfect.MrBig said:This is pretty much what I do. It was a good sirloin.
The only green stuff I had on hand was that spring roll, and that yellow stuff at the top is cornLouis Wu said:The only thing your plate was missing was something green (salad, broccoli, green beans... SOMETHING). The meat... was perfect.
ya, I've yet to play it because every time I go in there I get hockeythezerofire said:Man, why does Boom Ball have such a low weighting in Action Sack?
No, too many playlists D:Mikasangelos said:BOOM BALL nees its own playlist. SERIOUSLY

The grenade launcher needs it's own playlist. We have Team Snipes. It's time.MrBig said:ya, I've yet to play it because every time I go in there I get hockey

Have you tried fiddling around with the matchmaking preferences maybe if you set it to serious games or something you'll get less guests?wwm0nkey said:Would be nice to have an option to not play with guest

Aren't there playlists that don't allow guests? I know for sure Arena doesn't.wwm0nkey said:I would just like the option to have no guests

Well, if people were jumping off of cliffs instead of fighting in Slayer, they'd probably avoid playing that too.Zeouterlimits said:Playlist purge?
Probably. Remove everything but Team Objective and it'd still have only ~700 people in it
