I just kept seeing everyone refer to this week as map week. It's not much of a week if the info doesn't come out until the week is almost over. I stand corrected.vhfive said:

In every instance the news story was given to a website, and then followed up on by Bungie in their weekly update. The first two were on Thursday, but last week's was pushed up to Thursday due to Stupid Lie Day. ManCannon gave us a heads up last week that maps were on tap for this week, which is where the term "map week" came from - that's just this week's feature reveal. I'm still confused as to why we haven't seen our one map a day reveal by separate websites yet. I suspect next week we'll have a gametype reveal a day:
IGN will do a blowout on Headhunters on Monday
Gamespot will feature a headline article about 3 plots on Tuesday
1up with 1 flag ctf Wednesday
HipHopGamer with FFA slayer
and finally NeoGAF.com's VIP splocket heavy reveal on Friday

Nope, the article could be out as we speak but because they didn't tell us where to find it only Jesus knows when we'll actually get to see it.stephen08 said:

I'm all for GTTV doing an Invasion reveal next week, but doesn't GTTV air at midnight on Fridays? I think Invasion is what all of our halo dicks are hard for right now, so if thats the case, I hope GTTV does a good job on their coverage since the late night reveal most likely keeps Invasion out of nexts weeks update. Also how many times do you think Keighly will bring up MW2 when talking to Bungie? He must have brought it up 50 times when they did the special on Bad Company 2

WTF is on this screen in general, left corner of the screen what is that the player is holding??? or are they in third person on the back of mongoose or something? I am so confused.
Edit: Also don't know if this is something that is coming into play for single player as well (I assume it is), but the HUD is giving the players location bottom left. Safe to say new MP map?
As much as I love the GB crew they are definitely not suited for any Halo coverage. They're not Halo fans and usually fudge tiny details or don't bother with them at all.Schmitty said:

So.. If all multiplayer maps are placed into single player.. And that shows a forerunner structure.. I guess that leads to some interesting questions.

Cant wait to hear more about Invasion. Hope it lives up to the hype.
Not the Bungie hype, my own personal hype. I've been thinking about how this mode could work and how cool it could be since that multiplayer trailer.
And if they bring back Gultch or Coag for nostalgia's sake, they better damn well include a new and improved version of that map setup (a la Valhalla) to make up for it.
I have no nostalgia for those two simple maps.

I remember the first time I played that mode. Quake 3 was definitely my MP game of choice at the time (thanks to weapon balance, a better intangible 'feel', and lots more mod support), but that mode was so far ahead of the curve that I bought UT just for it alone.

Im really conflicted, I dont want to be hit by spoilers like seeing Forerunner aesthetics early, but if this is a Bungie sanctioned peice of pre-release footage im happy to watch it

Kuroyume - This is HaloGaf, we have all probably spent more time on Blood Gulch than we have sleeping - anything that looks slightly similar, even seen briefly and at a odd angle would trigger the memory of Blood Gulch to us :lol
