Even if matchmaking starts working, the scale of the issues is just so incredibly large that even with an incredibly motivated and competent team there's no way it'll ever happen. We're talking hundreds and hundreds of bugs - the bug tracker for Halo CE multiplayer has over a hundred issues logged on its own.
