I was in the middle of fight on the Maw earlier when suddenly the Halo Channel popped up.

I was playing with a headset on and the abrupt loss of sound combined with the bright white screen actually made me jump

I quickly realized that I had activated a terminal while trying to reload.

I had forgotten that terminals even existed.

As much as people shit on Halo 4 MP, the engine they built is probably the best feeling one since 2. The shots are accurate and feel good, and since H2:A is running on the H4 engine, it feels just as solid. The BR in H2:A is incredible, the 4 shot feels better than ever IMO.

100% agree. I am really loving the H2:A MP. Using the BR is so much fun to shoot. It's going to be my favorite playlist and I sure do wish they had redone all the maps.

100% agree. I am really loving the H2:A MP. Using the BR is so much fun to shoot. It's going to be my favorite playlist and I sure do wish they had redone all the maps.

Same H2:A multiplayer is a blast to play, just had an amazing match where we lost by one kill and we were trailing by 10 at one point, so good.

I feel the same I'm still enjoying Classic Halo 2 and CE far more though that may just be to more maps.

When Terminals work, I love how they're done despite having the jump-to-another-app experience that always feels a little jarring, but I understand from a development perspective why they made that decision. And the footage itself is actually well acted and animated.

Still in love with H2A campaign. Can't wait to get home and toggle new/old graphics 'til the cows come home.

Game isn't even out two full days yet and not even to the first weekend (where most people will try to play). I think people are jumping the gun a little on this.

If things aren't better at all by Sunday I'd start to worry.

I have yet to find a team slayer and I've tried countless times. The only thing I can consistently find games in is the ranked playlist.

On the mission metropolis when you get on a gauss warthog and start shooting those wraiths the bullets do nothing unless if you are 10 feet away.

It's too good to leave over technical issues. And it's too rooted in history to need to hit like a new title would.

That said, technical issues aside and completely unrelated, I think Microsoft/343/Sledgesomething/Otherstudio really overlooked stressing split-screen. Halo LAN could make a cultural shift and move boxes if they'd have embraced it. Print your game on two goddamn disks. Add support for system link without an Internet connection. Optimize multiplayer split screen to hit a locked 30 if not a locked 60 at the cost of graphical fidelity. Make this something I'd be proud to bust out and show my friends.


As it stands, I need to do some experimentation to see which versions of the game are even playable with a four player split, let alone stable enough to get through some matches, before I even consider a classic "Halo night." And after one round of H2A 2 player split screen, I'm not confident.

10 feet is wrong, it's farther than that, but yeah, it seems like the range of the Gauss hog is a little busted.

It definitely hurts things. Xbox One is doing well with the bundles/third party games though (e.g. COD).

I will say that maybe it was a good thing that MS didn't make a Halo MCC bundle (lol). Really should have made more Sunset Overdrive bundles though.
