Ok so here's my failed experience for tonight. I waited 10 minutes to play a rank match. Nothing. I switched over to Team Slayer and It found a game in about 5 minutes. After that I was stuck playing the waiting game.

I decided to have a friend join my lobby. At first, we were having trouble connecting. So we restarted the game. I sent an invite from within the games roster and it worked. We went to Team Slayer and waiting for about 10 minutes. Nothing.

I backed out but it didnt bring my friend into my lobby. The thing is, the game thinks we're still in the same lobby so we couldnt send any invites. Even when I tried to boot him, it didnt work. So we both restarted the game again and were able to join a lobby.

This time we searched in a Halo 3 game. 10 minutes and we finally found a game. After the game was done we stood in search for about 20 minutes till we decided to try another game. When we backed out, it didnt take him with me and again, the game still thinks we're in the same lobby.

This time I went back out to the main menu and went back in to multiplayer and that seemed to work. He was able to join my lobby again. We went to Team Slayer and nothing for 20 minutes. We left, had to repeat the same method so that we can join each others lobby. Went into rank and waited for another 20 minutes... Nothing.

I give up. What a fucking waste!

I was 1/1 on launch day in terms of match making. Today I'm 1 of 2. First time I gave up after 2-3 minutes, and my second try (I'm at the loading screen) found a game in about 45 seconds to a minute.

My GT is SteelOak so if somebody has some room to fill I am (almost) always ready
I live in europe but I play with USA in matchmaking matches and it is ok I think that it won't be that bad.

Everyone should just play Halo CE campaign with classic visuals. The framerate is nearly perfect and you don't encounter any of those weird inconsistencies with level geometry.

I'm happy with how responsive they're being, but I agree this is really frustrating. Halo 4 launched pretty much the same way as far as multiplayer is concerned.

I really can't believe it made it through cert like this.

The lag in coop has always been there, I don't think its possible to improve it.

Played my first online game tonight after not trying since hearing about the launch issues (I've been hammering my way through the campaign instead while the issues work themselves out) and it took me 35 seconds to find a match and it was silky smooth. Was my first online Halo match since Halo 2 on the original Xbox and while I did pretty poorly (5 kills, 9 deaths) it was great playing it again.

Loved the CEA visuals (Gold Elites are a bit much) on the 360 and they look even better in this version sans the stutter in the cutscenes. Assault on the Control Room and Two Betrayals (snow levels and then at night, love the atmosphere in CEA) probably being my favorites but I really like what the did with all the environments. I thought they played it a bit too safe in some parts of Halo 2 Anniversary.

Played through CE in co-op without any complaints of lag or frame rate issues. Really fun now it works.

Started with Halo 1 when it came out. Been playing LAN and online for each entry in the series. I love Halo 3, although it's not my favorite one.

You can "convince" yourself whatever you want, but it doesn't make it true. People are capable of liking what they want without being blinded by some sort of bias simply because they have a different opinion than you.

Don't forget the ugly graphics that make it look like an Original Xbox game covered in lip gloss, boring campaign in stale jungle/desert environments with recycled scenarios from past games, crappy netcode/ranking, and the weird aiming compared to H1/H2. Man and FUCK those bubble shields, that shit was like Armor Lock alpha, hated those times where you had to play cat and mouse with some dude cowering in one.

3 was the game that truly started Halo's downward spiral. I feel like anyone that honestly loves it is just nostalgic because it's either their first Halo or their first online Halo. It did some good things like forge and theater....but it's still a mediocre game.

Same here, but I'm certainly biased. I only really started to play a significant amount of Halo in the couple months before Halo 3 came out, so I don't have the years of Halo 2/CE nostalgia like a lot of others.
