somethings coming. Halo wars http://www.thehalowars.com/

Fake as hell. No links to any of those companies sites and it just screams amateurish. Remember we've had a lot of fakes through the years. Also they have more important things to worry about right now then reveal another game in December of all times. Oh and if you click their hashmark it mentions Halo Wars 2. Now why would you have a countdown and then ruin the countdown like that. So amateurish.

Edit: I'm getting bored in between matches....

Well finally stuck the physical disk into my xbox today and six hours later the game is 24% installed, which is apparently enough to let me play the Halo 4 campaign.

I don't understand how 24% in six hours is possible. Is it MCC or is the XBONE really this terrible with everything?

I had the game downloaded and installed in less time.

Feel like MM has gotten worse for me, at least when searching in a group. Was able to find games earlier in the day but nothing recently.

Sigh.

Sounds like its 24% done downloading that 15GB patch. The game probably is fully installed.

Guys, if you are having bad luck with MM and the Strict NAT problem try turning off Instant On and rebooting your Xbox One. I don't know if its coincidence but since then I can get into games much easier.

Maybe Frankie can tell us why after a match instead of going to the lobby, it flashes to the lobby for a split second and then does the static "MCC LOADING" screen, and then kicks you out to the results screen. There is no after lobby. It's pretty bad.

did a coop level in CE earlier with someone one time zone over from me, had major input lag. unfortunate

did 343 get anything right in this collection? im really trying to have fun, but its a real struggle right now. i cant count the amount of issues ive had between 2 full campaigns and multiplayer attempts.

customs were fun earlier, but still, not easy.

just got into a game myself. 10 kills in: 50 kills GAME OVER- game locks up going to the menu...

wow

Surprised I'm actually getting CE matches. Went 26-1 on Sidewinder. All those years of playing Halo PC with shitty netcode are paying off.

3 was the game that truly started Halo's downward spiral. I feel like anyone that honestly loves it is just nostalgic because it's either their first Halo or their first online Halo. It did some good things like forge and theater....but it's still a mediocre game.

you're ridiculous.

As a lore fan I've yet to see terminals myself; I saw one Youtube uploader talking about the Terminals being uploaded and then struck down with copyright strikes. I'll have to confirm that.

It's really odd for that to happen since the entire Halo 2 Anniversary cutscene collection is on Youtube with no issues.

How are people finishing halo ce levels in > 10 min on legendary?

Speedrunning! Only missions like the Library and Two Betrayals are relatively long because the load zones can't be skipped easily. Otherwise every Halo mission is either breakable in some fashion... or you can just run past most of the enemies with a little practice.

It's funny watching Halo: MCC twitch feeds. Every single one I've clicked on has been stuck on the searching screen. I've clicked on five or six. #WeBack

I really like the line that appears in the "Change Teams" window in Custom games, really solid.

I also like that changing teams requires you to jump through multiple menu screens instead of clicking a bumper like in halo 3.

So I'm buying this game next week and hopefully the issues are ironed out by then, but was this a case of too ambitious a collection or rush to get the game out?

Mostly the former, with a dash of the latter. This collection was a crazy undertaking: 5 games (Halo: CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 2: Anniversary MP) on 7 Engines (Halo: CE, Halo: CEA, Halo 2, Halo 2:A, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 2:A MP) that were worked on by 5 different companies (Bungie, Certain Affinity, 343i, Sabre, Ruffian) who had to get all that legacy code to work on a platform it had never been on before.

How are people finishing halo ce levels in > 10 min on legendary?

Some nifty time skips like the AotCR bridge descent and the Scurty Bump.

I'm trying to be patient. This is very difficult. I want to fucking play!

I can't connect to friends games, and when I do, we can't find a match. So, we try a different playlist and it kicks everyone out. Now we can't join each other to even look for a game.

After spending an hour making my way through the third mission in Halo: CE on Legendary, I paused the game right after I got to Keyes and guess what........the menu froze. All of my progress is gone. I restarted the game and went back to the mission hoping that my progress would somehow be saved. Nope, so I press start again to exit back to the main menu and--yup the game freezes again.

Seriously, everyone at 343 should be ashamed for releasing the collection in this condition. Do people not care about the quality of a product that has their name on it? I think Frankie should be especially ashamed. He had everyone's trust on this forum and kept saying the game was running fine. Basically, the people at 343 (or mostly the higher ups at 343) are nothing but scammers in my eyes for selling us something that doesn't even work correctly. I highly doubt all these bugs will ever get fixed.

That's true, but at least they should have the dignity to let people know BEFORE the game is out and people start paying for it.

lol nope main menu shows Halo 4 available with 0.whatever percentages for everything else.

The X1 has no way of managing a download queue so I have no Idea what it's actually doing. The first hour or so it flipped back and forth between "Installing" and "Queued".

If you guys are having trouble on some missions... I recommend that you do not pause the game. The static UI is more likely to freeze than the actual game itself based off of my observations in this thread as well as various speedrunning streams.

That way you won't lose your progress.

Hmm that is weird. I want to watch them all, I have unlocked the first two already, but as I just did halo 2 last year, I don't know if I want to go through the entire campaign again just yet again. I will eventually, but I just want to watch the terminals now kind of...

I haven't been too frustrated with matchmaking/multiplayer issues and have just been playing other new games/working on some campaign. I just tried to resume my CE campaign on Assault on the Control room and as soon as it starts to load the game freezes and exits to the Xbox Home. What the fuck. It keeps happening.

Halo 3 actually looks quite good.

Yeah, I have no idea about game development but that looks like a shit tonne of work and problems to encounter and resolve.

I ran into the same issue during the H2 campaign. You'll lose your save, but starting a new campaign at the same mission is a workaround. Props to 343 for unlocking every mission from the start, but hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Wonderful, I chose the Halo 3 MP playlist, got into a Halo 4 map after 5 minutes matchmaking, and then when my team won the game stuck on a loading screen indefinitely, so I had to relaunch it.

This game is just full of problems. I was so hyped to play it and now my zeal to do so slightly decreases everyday.

Also, props to them for releasing the game in this condition in the first place. Great job, 343!

This game is so buggy.

Remember the Hunter fight on Regret? The Phantom that is supposed to drop them off just disappeared. Easiest encounter ever.

I've never seen that before... probably a glitch in MCC as opposed to vanilla Halo 2.

That's what I don't get about MCC; Halo 2 Anniversary is an order of magnitude better than Halo CEA, especially in terms of the actual remastering itself.

But Halo 2 MCC changes a number of AI behaviours and even gameplay mechanics. This is something I don't remember CEA doing...

Somehow the Boom skull won't activate on my copy of Halo.

What am I doing wrong?

I already have it downloaded, and the skull menu says 0 found for Halo 2 anniversary.

I want to express how much Halo 3 is shit. There is absolutely NOTHING about this game that is good.

The BR sucks
The movement sucks
The maps suck
The equipment sucks

EVERYTHING about Halo 3 sucks. I'm convinced the people that enjoy Halo 3 started the franchise with that game. There's no other reason why or how Halo 3 could be preferred over Halo 2.

I hate it. I hate it with a passion. SO please PSA: if you're playing halo 3 please go to the halo 3 hopper. Let those, mainly the ones that want to play Halo CE play in Team Slayer without having to get thrown into another crap Halo 3 match.

For my money Halo 3 is the best Halo, Halo 2 is the classic but Halo 3 saw the ideas of the classic came to fruition.

Currently playing Halo 4 and while the graphics are definitely an upgrade...almost everything else is a downgrade. Still enjoying it so far, though. Just not as much as the rest.

So far: Halo 3 > Halo 2 > Halo 1 >Halo 4.

Also is Spartan Ops in the collection...or no?

Yea it's an Anniversary bug without a doubt. I've had things randomly disappear. I've had enemies phase in and out like an animation is missing. I've had an enemy entirely invisible which shouldn't be. I've had models refuse to stop in place where they should and keep going. This is noticeable by the phantom that kept flying into me and the building killing me. A brute on last level is an example of the invisible enemy bug. You could see his plasma rifle but he was completely invisible like it didn't load the model. The others had all loaded in correctly though. It's the bugs like this which I refuse to believe nobody saw before launch.
