Been playing since CE. The original trilogy is all so good to me. Reach was the downfall IMO.

Beat the Halo 2 campaign today after giving up on MP.
Still absolutely love it. Really like how the game is for the most part really open for how you want to play. Want to run past everything? You can with some skill. Want to kill everything for intense battles? You can and continue your destructive path forward.

Really like how there's less if any BS in the Halo campaigns like we see today.
Think i'll play Halo 3 as well since thinking about it I barely remember it and how it tied into 2. Only remember bits and pieces.

3 is great. Wait for your dedicated h1 playlist. Don't get me wrong I'll vote for h1 but don't discount 3 just because you don't like it.

I love Halo 3, and Halo 2 was my first Halo. I got so many 50's, was a blast to play.

I will say about Halo 3 I never found the equipment all that useful.
To this day It always made me mad because it took away the default Halo 2 style control.
RB for getting into vehicles and such still feels odd to me.

Does MCC fix that?
Can I play Halo 3 with Halo 2 controls basically?

Wasn't my first, and I love it. Halo 2's host BR basically ruins the game for me. Might have a different opinion on dedis, but Halo 3 is a strong game. Reach is the game that started the spiral into mediocrity.

Man, CE co-op is so damn fun, but it's very disappointing to see that off-host campaign lag is back. Really wish they would have fixed this.

There's universal control settings for all the games.

The game literally froze up and crashed in the middle of a MP match. That's not even a network issue. This shit is broke.

Oh FOR FUCK'S SAKE. I boot Master Chief Collection back up and it lost my checkpoints in this particularly hard Halo 2 level. I don't feel up to starting that whole level again, at least not right now. :(

Totally in jest. I understand the Halo 3 complaints, but there is something about the way the sandbox feels is really unbeatable in the franchise I feel. It's difficult to explain but it's my favorite Halo game
and I'll be voting Halo 3 Team BRs in the TS playlist.
And to the guy shitting on the graphics earlier I think it's still a beautiful game, lighting outclasses pretty much every following incarnation of Halo.

I tried when I got home. Didn't work. Searching...

Hard reset. Tried again and if it searches for around the 4 min mark I back out and try again. Have had good luck with that and little to no lag in the games I've played. When it works like this it's great. I hope you get to enjoy it at some point.

Reposting from Halogaf thread. Just keep finding more and more bugs I tell you.

Well this is a new bug. Loaded a level in Halo 4 and just got a black screen with music playing. No messages or anything. I noticed that as it was loading though the view gamercard thing came up like being in a multiplayer lobby. Only after xbox buttoning to dash did the pause menu show up so I could quit but that wouldn't respond so I had to close the game. And when reloading the last save is requiem which was 3 levels before that.

Had one similar to this, but i got a message in small red text that said "untracked build. Won't upload"

So I'm buying this game next week and hopefully the issues are ironed out by then, but was this a case of too ambitious a collection or rush to get the game out?

The only fun I've had so far is one CE match on Beaver Creek, which ran perfectly and was tons of (chaotic) fun. I'm gonna go try and return my copy :\
