What does that have to do with people wanting to play multiplayer?
IMO it seems rather silly to buy a product like Halo specifically for MP.
If I start a mission, I will finish it in one go, for the reason you stated.Felt like playing some more Halo 2, it's lost my checkpoint progress again and i'm back at the bridge with the tank.
THE SAVE SYSTEM FLAT OUT DOES NOT WORK IN THIS GAME FOR ME.
And yes I am save and quitting correctly.
Destinys launch was extremely smooth for my friends and I.
Bingo.Didn't 343 mention recently that almost half of the people who buy Halo games and sign into Xbox Live never touch multiplayer and only play single player?
I think it's silly to say it's stupid for someone to buy this for only the single player, and vice-versa. Halo campaigns are still some of the best single player shooter campaigns on consoles
Halo exploded like it did because it was great all around.
I understand that but in reality believe or not there's a shit ton of content on this disk outside the MP. IMO it seems rather silly to buy a product like Halo specifically for MP.
Man, playing a game of Halo 3 directly after a game of Halo 2 or 2A is really souring my opinion of 3 more than it should. 3 just feels SAWFT in comparison
How do you access the CE Anniversary maps in the custom game panel? Trying to do local splitscreen and all I get is the original maps :/

agreed, 2 v 2 should be a mixed gametype down to vote, every main halo game should have a 4 v 4 playlist, there is no reason NOT to have every game played as it should be.
Bungie has been very communicative lately.
Oh... I thought they did. There are no CE Anniversary maps
I don't get this if it's a joke :/ sorry. New to Halo. This game does not include Halo Reach.

hardly. they are a shell of their former selves with regard to this. I almost feel like I'm seeing Activision updates instead of Bungie.

Yes, but still better than 3 weeks ago. They stumbled but recovering; next week should be very cool with the updates. Hopefully 343 will fix MCC by Tuesday the latest. Sucks the weekend is shot.
Nice for you. Even still I get animal error codes randomly or booted from Raids and Strikes, and half the time at least one of my friends can't use voice chat in game and has to reboot.
Go into a game three against four and my two teammates quit *sigh*
Why Tuesday?
We’ve been working at and on various issues all day and users are seeing some improvements – and here’s a wonky but useful tip that should significantly improve some players’ experiences:
When you are in the matchmaking state, looking for players, make sure that the column on the right is headed by the string, “In Lobby” - Usually with gray boxes beneath, until a whole game is gathered.
If it’s in any other state, or you don’t see that it says “In Lobby” as pictured, you will not successfully join a game. Simply press “B” to back out to the main menu, then go back into Multiplayer and Find Game. You should see “In Lobby” and have a much better chance of finding a good session. These shots demonstrate “good” and “bad” conditions you should be attempting to get to.
Awkward? Yes. Sorry! But simple and a tiny band aid while we work on the bigger medicine. More news as we fix more stuff.

I think thats NAT related though, at least the voice chat thing.

Am I the only one who hates having Big Team Slayer matches in the BTB playlist?
I play BTB for objective games not team slayer!
I've said this before and I'm going to say it again, MCC needs to change up how it selects maps/game types. This collection had 100+ maps and I keep seeing the same dozen over and over because everyone keeps voting for them.
The Mario Kart 8 weighed random selection or a straight up "this is what you're playing and that's final" system would open the door for a bit more variety in the multiplayer experience.
Oh my God. I just got matched up with this asshole player in Halo 2 Anniversary. We were teammates but he kept draining our shields. He even waited until I picked up Overshield to do it to me. Blocked and reported the prick.
-_-
Right there with you - and it's amazing how many people pick Slayer. Like... I feel like I'm the only person who wants to play objective games.

If this shit isn't working by the end of the weekend, I'm taking this back and buying Call of Duty. At least CoD works.
i have a question that im sure has been answered but I cant find it.
does the retail copy allow you to install and not have to swap discs?
obviously the digital one does but im curious how it works on the retail?

I just played my first match after searching for about 6 minutes.
It was an H2A match 6v4 and my team got destroyed.
I went negative by a lot.
I didn't notice any lag though.
After the match I got stuck on a loading screen.
It's pretty crazy how this is the THIRD GAME where a tie goes to the map that appears first instead of choosing randomly between ties (50/50 or 33/33/33 % chances of being picked when votes are tied).Someone (maybe you?) had previously explained the Mario Kart 8 method to me and I thought it sounded beautiful, if I've got this right.
(I'm clarifying not for your benefit because you obviously already know about it)
It is not simple majority rule. Each vote has weight and simply makes it more likely that a map gets chosen. If a map only gets 1 out of 8 votes, it still had a 1 out of 8 chance of being the winning map. Lower odds, but still in the running. Like throwing votes into a hat.
It sounds perfect for letting the majority get to play what they want to play while still allowing the minority to get their way once in a while.
MCC needs this (after they actually have MM working in the first place along with a slew of other fixes).

I never understood why and as far as I know, they've never explained why either. It's such an archaic design choice.
