Wouldn't the fact that all the other games on X1 online are working just fine and this game is yet to work almost a week later, suggest it's not MS's servers. Also couple with the fact that the game has numerous and sever bugs in every aspect (SP, Split Screen, Co-op, and MP), also suggest it's not MS's server?
In my mind it points to the game being the issue, not the servers. Who specifically is saying it's the servers? 343?
werent MS servers having issues during MCC's launch as well though? Heck one of 343's updates was delayed briefly because of it.
Yes. I think you are correct. But to my knowledge those problems have been resolved for all other games. Yet this game is still having issues. Correct?

Sorry if this has already been discussed ad nauseam but I just downloaded MCC and can't get Nightfall to play. I did the whole deleting Halo Channel, unplugging box and re-downloading thing but that didn't work. Is there a known fix to the issue or is this just something else to add to the pile of stuff we have to wait for through updates?
If you have the box copy make sure you use the insert code. If you did or you have a digital like me, it's a known issue that's been happening since launch day. Not everyone is having this problem however.

As a huge Halo fan and someone who was going to buy and Xbone in the new year just for MCC, with each passing day and the increasing number of glitches, issues and outright borken parts, I'm running out of thinking 'it's still good..."
It's heart breaking the MS and 343 would treat their crown jewels like this. It's clear the collection was a rush job Q4 cash grab.
Funnily enough there's an achievement for that my brother got if you kill someone with it.

It's trash. The entire project is basically a poor placeholder for a upcoming beta in the current state.

Are the Lockout icicles physics-based in Forge or are they automated? Like, if you spawn one upside-down, will the icicles "fall up" a set distance and then shatter?
You can shoot it down yourself if you plan to camp up there and don't want to get squashed.
It shouldn't respawn at all during a match. Most of the "enhancements" to the H2 multiplayer offer me nothing other than "HEY LOOK" moments.
I got a ~9MB Nightfall download when I bought the digital version. What happens if you go to Nightfall in the Xbox store?

I think this is a bigger fuckup then driveclub. This is ms premier title this holiday. I've only played in 1 mp game since launch!!
it's not a holiday yet. You still have 10 days. Plus it's having a major update in 2. This won't stay this way.

If the online problems are fixed in short order (i.e. this week), then it's forgivable. If problems persist into December, though...

I don't have 30 mins to stare at my screen while it looks for players. I usually give up after 10 mins and back out. Try that a couple times and say fuck it. Not worth the effort in my opinion.
And fyi I'm not trying to get banned, I'm not entitled to an opinion? It's a major major fuckup on ms. We deserved better. It's funny how everybody jumps down driveclub developers throats but then Microsoft gets a free pass?

I'm at 23 since release and I haven't found a single game today. I've been playing AC Unity while I wait for searches over the past week and I am at 28 hours.
MM in this game is horrible.
Shame Halo 5 won't be as impressive because of 60fps but it's a worthy sacrifice.

Driveclub (probably) won't stay bad forever, either. (Not sure what the current state of things is.) That won't overcome that title's word of mouth (and seems to have helped kill it already). MCC has a MUCH higher profile for MS and is a tent pole title for them for the holidays. The launch will surely have an impact, and that's assuming it does get fixed in a few days.

I haven't really posted in this thread, mostly been browsing it but I have to chime in after my experiences last night.
After TWO whole days of not being able to find a single online match, I tried again last night. Since BTB is still shot to shit, I jumped to the Halo 3 playlist. Found a game after a few minutes and Team Slayer on Assembly is voted. Ready in the lobby is a 3v3 match. Then just my team of 3 was left, then just me. The match is about to start when a whole new lobby of people shows up and voting begins again only I can only see the Assembly match that was just voted for get more votes. The game finally started after that one map got more votes than people that were in both lobbies. Game started, was crap, go back to searching.
I get into another full lobby after a few minutes and Team Slayer on High Ground is chosen. When the match starts, it's a 1v1 game with me against some asshole who constantly teabagged me after every kill. I try my best but end up losing 9-7. I was ale to get two decent games (even with bugs) in before giving up after two hours of this crap then went back to my CE Heroric campaign playthrough for the rest of the night.
I usually try to keep my cool and not get overly upset at things like this but this is just too much. I've played maybe 10 full games of multiplayer since day one (well, day two more like since that damn update took all night for me) and while they've been fun games when I got to play them, my experience has mostly been like what I posted above. I've been lucky to not have had any campaign bugs or glitches but the other half of this game just does no work 90% of the time for me and it's getting annoying especially since this is likely my purchase for this year.

Fixed that up a bit. There are several H4 maps that run pretty choppy in split screen with just 2 players in them. I couldn't imagine how they would run online with 16 players. It really is unacceptable for a Halo game. Either fix split-screen frame-rates or take it out for the games (H2 & H4) that cant handle it.
Also why does H2 split-screen run with black bars on the sides, the other games don't seem to do this (and it still runs bad).
