Just played some Reach and oh boy is the framerate jarring at first. I think all the good players are long gone because I did really good in BTB and don't do so well in MCC. Hope the MP is fixed soon. It would be cool if they added Reach as DLC. I'd fork over 10-15 bucks for it.

FFS 343. At least it's still this week but I would hope so since next week is a short week of work for most businesses in the US. Still annoying though.

As compensation, I will take the time spent fixing MCC as added time to the Halo 5 beta. So far, we're up to a week of added time.

pretty unacceptable at this point.

343 wanted this collection dead population wise it seems before people got too attached and skipped on H5.

its their 1 shot to set things straight. I am willing to give them a couple of extra days to get it right.

If they fuck this patch up, its fucking over.

I'm disappointed that it's being delayed (albeit slightly), but I like that it sounds rather substantial.

Ooooook, 343, I will wait a couple more days, If it's meant to do any good to the update, no need to rush it like you clearly did with the game itself (whether your fault or not, at this point it doesn't matter)

3 levels were cut before launch.

Speculation says it's a desert level as there is an official wallpaper that showcased Master Chief and his dual smgs with a tank and warthog in the background.

I think we just got bigger versions of the levels in Halo 3 but no confirmation on that.

Max hoberman recently said in one of those ign vids that burial mounds was based off a campaign level that was scrapped... And it was a moon level.

What a fucking joke. Hope everyone enjoys pared down playlists because there is no way in hell the community will be large enough after this fiasco. So glad my friends laughed at me when i tried to get them to buy a XB1 for this. I wouldn't be able to handle the shame.

Eh, I'd be more upset if GTA V didn't come out tomorrow. I guess I'll wait for the update and see if they fix this game once and for all before I trade it in.

Fuck me. But on the bright side I got GTA V to play lol

This game is a mess, wish there was some more transparency about the whole process as well.

I think they are good on updating the community. You cant expect them to give updates every few hours.

Dude relax. People who love Halo are not going anywhere. If it was that easy to lose the community then there wouldn't be still thousands of players playing BF4.

Beside this package is one of a kind. When it does work, its going to be killer for years to come.

In the latest documentary they say that the intended finale was Master Chief going to earth, rescue Cortana, battle Gravemind (I think) and wrap it up. Also in other ViDocs they said the scrapped a few levels (they mentioned the Ark, which appeared in H3), also Max Hoberman said (on approx) that maybe the had to cut at least half the game due to time restrictions.

Here are some interesting links about it:

'Making Of' Halo 2
Original Halo 2 playthrough with Jason Jones (haven't seen this, but might be interesting)
In case you missed it: Remaking the Legend

Couldn't find the Halo 3 essentials, that's where they mention the thing about the cut out levels, I have it but since I no longer have a 360 I can't watch it :/

I had no idea Halo 2 was this short, I'm only two and a half hours in and I am already on mission 10 or so out of 15?
Been loving my time with it, though I see it as something I will be coming to for years so I am trying to sip it as slowly as possible.

Two and a half hours? Are you playing on easy and just skipping through parts or what?

It's actually one of the longest if you're playing normally.

Of course the update is delayed.

So I won't be able to play MP on even teams with my friends until Friday... when me and I'm sure many others will begin traveling/taking time off for Thanksgiving.

Such a fucking disappointment.

Just finished Halo CE, now lets talk about achievement bugs.

It says its "unlocking" the one to end the final mission and the one to end the game at easy difficulty. Now, the one to end at normal difficulty is only 95%. However... I have not beaten one single level in easy (Ive beaten some in heroic and some in nornmal, and one in legendary co-op). So, why the hell the "easy" is 100% and not the "normal" (before and after is its name) too?

God damn... All those bugs are really getting on my nerves.

Edit:
Never mind, just saw what is this trophy on trueacheivements. My mistake. =x
But I have 3 "unlocking" achievements! =(

Playing MMC MP is like trying to fuck a super hot bipolar psycho chic. Getting in there is an endurance of psychological torment and frustration but once you're in there it's pure bliss.

Also, I suck ass at it now. It's been way too long since I played Halo MP competitively and this one game every ten tries BS ain't helpin' my skills none.

I'm fine with this. While I somewhat understand people being mad/upset at this, I'm sure you guys would be even more mad if the update didn't correct the game's main issues.

I would rather have to wait a few more days for the patch to actually work the way it was intended then for the patch to come out on Wednesday and not fix everything that it was intended on fixing.

It's OK. That was also partially my fault for not elaborating it clearly.

We're human, so we make mistakes.

Although what is Master Chief? Is he human or robot?

He is human, but with a lot of augmentation done to him. You have to read the Fall of Reach to really understand how the spartans came to be as the games don't tell you any of that.

LOL, they delayed the fucking patch. So much incompetence.. I think it might me a good time for me to come to term with the fact that the Halo franchise will die in the hands of this developer.

DopeyFish

Not bitter, just unsweetened
More fixes vs waiting 2 days?

I will take more fixes.

By the wording, sounds like most issues will be resolved when this patch drops... But they don't specify halo 4... So maybe that odd crash will remain for the time being?

Everyone has a right to be super pissed and annoyed. Everyone. However, I don't think there is anyone here who rather a rush job that does it half-assed, than a proper fix.

The problem comes after things are fixed. Get ready for posts about "Too little too late" and "I moved on, sold the game, lol".

Really regret buying this at launch. The only thing I've touched was the H2 campaign. Least GTA is out so that'll hold me over til they completely fix this.

I just played a great 3v3 slayer pro game. Just now. And it took about 2 minutes to set up. You'll be fine.
