Yeah its pretty annoying to not get on but its been just over a week. They need to get it sorted before Xmas kicks in but at least this ain't a BF4 situation where simple things don't get patched for months and months.

I can understand people trading the game back in, since the majority want their games to work 100% now, not in a few weeks. A pretty ambitious package of games, so no wonder there would be technical issues.

I am definitely not asking for a refund on my digital copy, because I know it will get patched... and the Halo 5 Beta (my personal Christmas gift). But I also can understand people's frustrations over Matchmaking and the Campaign bugs. I still haven't started any of the Campaigns because of the horror stories I've read, waiting for them to be patched up so I can run straight through 1 - 4.

Boom skull and Grunt Funeral skull. Take cover and enjoy the chain reaction. Honestly, with these two skulls on, our co-op Legendary run became infinitely more enjoyable.

Damn, if I didn't just buy Alien isolation, Evil within, Assassin's Creed Unity, Shadow of Mordor, Dragon Age Inquisition and Far Cry 4 (not to mention Sunset Overdrive mop up work) I'd be a little more upset. Still pretty disappointed. Shit shouldn't happen.

consistent crashes are easy to isolate and fix

Fixing the order of levels so they play in sequence is a very easy fix

Fixing the saves in H2 is a very easy fix (functionality is all there)

Making sure CEA on return from Halo Channel allows players to move is a very easy fix

The difficult things to fix are the roster and matchmaking and possibly halo 3 forge

People think MCC has a lot of huge problems that requires a massive undertaking to fix. In this case it's actually a bunch of small problems which have pretty big effect. 99+% of crashes are not even when in game...

I doubt they could fix Halo 3's forge.

Yeah but I don't think everything will be fixed after the patch. Especially the UI/ invite part will be tricky. The whole partying up system is broken.

I think most crashes will be fixed and MM.


Though I guess the population is also not as big as many think and that is why it still will take longer to find games.




Also map variants that are wrong and stupid gametypes in MM need to be fixed next by a different team.
SMG starts are horrible.

Lol I'm OK with them taking their time to do it right. Yeah it sucks that MP is spotty and slow but I've finished like 40 matches well enough. All I care about is that this patch actually fixes a lot of stuff up.

I assumed the game would work by the end of the weekend, but apparently it still doesn't and won't even gets its next patch till at least Wednesday? A lot of people will probably just move on to GTA V by then. No reason to keep giving time to a game that simply doesn't work.

343 just digging that hole deeper and deeper. Good thing Dragon Age comes out this week, at least that game looks like it actually works.

They'd better have some explanation for this outside of "sorry it didn't work, we'll try and do better next time, I swear!"

At this rate, by the time it's fixed, Halo Reach is going to have a higher online population. This whole debacle is a fucking disgrace.

EDIT: I'm done, I can't wait this out anymore, it's driving me crazy. I'll pick up a physical copy of the game when it goes cheap in a few months, hopefully it will work by then. Good luck to everybody who's more patient than I am.

Fix more problems at once, I say. It'll ultimately be quicker to push one, larger update through cert than multiple smaller ones.

It seems like you are cutting your nose to spite your face. You clearly are invested in halo to get so upset. So no clue why you can't wait an extra day or two.

There is more than enough SP-hours to be spent with 4 games until then :)

But there are mild problems with Single Player too.

And what's the point in ENJOYING single player games anymore? Psh, it's better to complain about features which don't work than play the ones which do.

There is nothing irrational about the decision. I don't want 343 or Microsoft to get my $60 for a broken piece of garbage that they seem incapable of fixing. I care deeply about Halo, or else I wouldn't have waited this long. But Wednesday was my cut off day, and now they're not going to have it ready by then, and I can't keep putting off playing other games to wait for this one.

I played all these games in Single Player years ago, and I still own all of them except for the Halo 2: Anniversary campaign. But Halo 2's campaign is garbage anyway, I'd never want to go back to that game. The only value this collection has to me is matchmaking across all four games, and 343 has convinced me now that this wont happen for the foreseeable future.

Plenty of other games right now to play. But once MCC is fixed, oh man. I'll be hooked like I was many years ago.

This delay makes it even harder to stay excited. I so hope this patch delivers. If matchmaking is still somewhat broken after this, I will have to shop a second tear on my avatar...

Please make this right 343. Amends need to be made ....

Last night I called 8004myxbox and asked for a refund, since i bought the game digitally. No problem, fuck this game. Speaking with my dollar.

Side note..the guy who helped me said you can get one digital game refund once every calendar year. Didnt know that.

While yet another delay is pretty dang annoying, I feel like the update has a better chance of fixing things if they're serious about giving it the extra time and testing. But still, totally get why people would want to return it after all that has happened. It's very ridiculous.

So Halo 4 is now telling me "Untracked build, won't upload." I can hear the starting cutscene play out in the background, at least the movements and effects, no voice and music. :lol

EDIT: Music's kicking in. :lol

So glad I didn't buy this. Will pick up GTA 5 with the money that could've gone wasted on this!

Just read about the another delay. Deep inside, I wish they actually do fix this by Christmas. It's really a sad time for MS when they could've turned around X1 sales but they dropped the ball big time. Download issues with their COD AW and HALO MCC for the bundles they got. Not a great first impression. Not to mention they bundled another broken game Ass Creed Unity. Just a sad holiday season for MS. I really do hope they turn it around.

People are losing progress mid mission. If the chapter is two hours long and you were at the end and it gets reset....sucks.

I hope this patch fixes most of the SP issues we have been getting, and fixes all my bugged out achievements.

Not sure I understand... the bundle sales have still been great so far regardless of the game issues.

Edit: Haha, goodness people -- I understand the frustration with the issues but you guys can't wait another 2-3 days so that the patch will be better quality? Did you guys have Wednesday set aside? The patch coming during the weekend is worse than the patch coming during a work day?

Separate patches take more time than one patch. One patch also helps the game to be better for the various people who will be buying it on Black Friday.
