I kinda knew destinys MP wasn't going to be it's strong point, from the limited amounts of games I've played I feel as if I won't be really interested in it. Although I'll give it to bungie, the vehicles are really fun to drive and mess around with, something they have always been good at.

I don't think they have ever done a FPS.
Also "more faithful to the universe" makes only sense when it comes to unofficial interpretations, i think, like mods.

Went to the comic shop and looked through the TPBs for the Fall of Reach. I was really tempted to buy, but they were $16.99 each and were not very thick on content at all. Will hold out for next time though. Also flipped through some Escalation single issues. Art is still subpar but whatever.
Played more of the Destiny beta today. Single player is growing on me - I actually saw myself buying the game this year.
Then I finally unlocked PvP. That was terrible.
Just a mess. Not a fan and probably will not buy.

Escalation's art is the only thing keeping me from adding it to my pull box. I know they're on a schedule and need a quick turn around time, but there has to be someone better. Fall of Reach was good, but most comic places still charge too much. Try Amazon maybe?
Here's my issue with comics in general. Too expensive for the content offered (most comic book albums, TPBs, are some 20€ usually).
For that price, i could get two pocket book sized books (in English).
I've seen those Fall of Reach comics here too but... they really don't look that great. And i actually have two copies of the book itself (the old one and the newer edition).
EDIT actually, this is my issue with 99.9% of video games... If i pay 60-70€ for a game, i expect 500h+ of content or fun or both.

Yeah I was thinking Amazon or CheapGraphicNovels.com. I have pretty much always stuck to TPBs but I'm actually going to start getting a few single issues from now on. It's a money pit. But a good one.
Part of the appeal is the visualization. You can get most of these pretty cheap on Amazon, IST, or CGN. Sure, you have stinkers like what we have now with Escalation that are basically buyable for plot and story alone but when you have a team like Snyder and Capullo on the current Batman run, I would pay $5-$6 an issue if I had to because the art and story, in tandem, are so damn good.
Halo already has my curiosity but they need a damn good artist to get my attention.

Art... comic art i really like is very rare. Or comics i like in the first place.
I've never been into comics, and i have so strong imagination that good text description creates far better image in my mind than any picture will ever look. What is someone else's visualization of something next to my living, vivid, unique image?

The only things that I know of Sergio Arino who is the penciller for escalation has done is erotica and siege thunderbolts. If that's not eidetic of my tastes then I don't know what is.

Year Zero was great, it just lasted WAY too long. Now we get a 1-2 issue one off, then Endgame (whatever that means). Since it takes place after Eternal I might hold off reading them (of course I'll still buy em).
Halo comics have yet to wow me, sadly.
That explains so much, its scary.
I appreciate that, however I still believe they'd be preferable to 343i due to the latters lack of experience. Maybe give 343i a new Blinx game to work on?

They have literally only made RTS games (Age of empires, Star wars: Galactic battlegrounds), so giving them a full FPS is a huge risk...
Lore wise maybe they stayed pretty true to the normal and expanded universe, but thats not enough to give them a main game in the franchise...
Sadly, this is true. It's still fun with a donging squad though, for obvious reasons.

I agree... It makes me unhappy, but it feels... I couldn't get addicted and stay up too late playing it. I couldn't be excited from the kills I got and wake up ready to tell my best friend how I made an amazing come back... Is it November yet?
Edit: that being said, I'm positive arena shooter leaning COD fans will love it, like Titanfall, except different. I can't explain what I'm thinking, but I guess the best way I can put it, it Doesn't Feel Like Halo. I'm all for another experience to draw me in. Single player story did, but it has no legs without multi...imo

I don't think infinity settings are better, but legendary is IMO.
If you really have to ask that question then you don't deserve an answer.
That's your opinion. The Arbiter's side of the story was infinitely more interesting than the MC's side of the story in Halo 2 IMO, although there was a lot of darkness and grimness in the level design early on.

The group in Nightfall seems to be diverse like FuD, which is a definitely more representative of what the UNSC should be like. Hopefully this can be extended into the games as well; at least for the marine personalities. They were quite well done in Halo 2 with their conversations, I might add.
