Man, EA really took a hit for marketshare this month - of course with NCAA and Madden coming up, they should be back to 25% in no time.

Midway's in the top 10 - well, tied for 10th anyway - still pretty good.

Those are just Activision's numbers, not the actual top 10.

*wipes brow* ok, makes sense... I thought ATVI was a fancy acronym for total sales volume or something like that. lol

Those Psi Ops sales are VERY disappointing. It's such a solid game that simply could have used a bit more smoothing out...

Fleming gets the "Riddick Award" he guessed 180K. Most guesses were much lower. Someone else guessed 180 too but it was after Fleming.

[face_confused]

Riddick hasnt' been posted yet. Do you mean FSW?

That what they get for continuing to release Mortal Kombat games. ;-)

Interesting side note from the Yahoo group -

For the past year, publishers have had a very difficult time trying to
maintain full retail pricing. Now, there are several new data points
that seem to indicate publishers are getting desperate.

EA - very quickly dropped retail on SSX3, LOTR:ROTK, Sims:Bustin Out,
& Bond. NFSU has held, but that's about it.

SEGA/TTWO - after several years of getting this brains bashed in,
ESPN2k5 will premiere at $19.99

Midway - The Suffering & Psi-Ops, two recent extremely high quality
games have already dropped to $29.99 at ebgames.

It doesn't seem to me as if retailers are to blame here. I mean EA
has just about the most clout of anybody and their games sell quite a
bit better than just about everybody even at full price. I'm thinking
that publishers are really constricting the life cycle of thier
product to get a short term bump. To me, they're really training
customers that if they wait 30-60 days after launch, they're going to
get a much better price, which will eventually hurt the launches
themselves.

Three cheers for Wario64, the CAGs are winning!
