I've been playing a lot of World of Warships and League of Legends lately. Might give this a stab though....my biggest fear with every F2P is how much I can actually play and enjoy without spending money. Any feedback on that angle in this game?
German magazine PC games compared the free-to-play grind between Heros and LoL.
LoL is more free-giving, but how much depends on the number of games you play per day.
In the beginning Heroes will give you a lot of gold and other extras, like Stimpacks, which give you extra gold and exp per game.
If you play around 3 games daily and do your bonus quests, you could probably get enough ingame gold to buy every new hero shortly after release.
If you end up really liking the game, and spending some money, the starter-bundle, and the retail bundle are great options. For 15 EUR/US$ you can get a selection of 8 heroes.
In the around 4 months I played the game, I was able to get 16 heroes, plus 5 I got through bundles.

Just in case anyone wants to play with me lol, I've been playing for about 2 weeks now and loving it. Looking to play with people now, cool people and not toxic asses like I hear MOBAs usually are!
Which region?
Look in the OP of this thread. There is a link to a google document with the IDs of US and EU gaffers. You can add yours.
Unfortunately, the retreat ping is invisible.
Maybe I missunderstand you (sarcasm?), but the retreat ping is really visible on my end: minimap + marker + text + unique noise
