There is nothing interesting about Kael's damage - you're just throwing nukes from a distance without having to work for it like Azmodan. He's always gong to have high damage- this level of damage is just incredibly un-fun.
Jaina actually got much less interesting after the damage buff. Previously she was a good hero who was comp-dependent - you wanted her with Tyrael/Stitches-style comps, not so much in others. Post-damage buff she just gets first picked all the time.
If the only interesting thing about the character is their damage, you're doing something wrong when designing them.
