Really interested to see what the next patch brings. I expect they've been prepping a big chunk of changes, now that we've had a chance to see what the scaling changes have done to various heroes.

Well, I guess she still is really, but she was much stronger in January and before that IIRC. Somewhere in there she ate a bunch of nerfs.

The lack of contribution to the team has always made her kind of a drag on an uncoordinated team in QM. Just sometimes she kills enough to make up for it, and right now she's at a point where she can do that a little more reliably than she has in quite a few months.

I'm LTTP but, Turdburger, you're a mod on Mc's stream? 'grats on the shoutout in last week's THH.

lol I didn't even know he said that until earlier today actually. but yea i guess i was one of the first regulars in his channel when he started streaming back in early January of last year

its really cool he's having some success now - he was very close to quitting multiple times

I think they mentioned Tychus and Gazlowe specifically at Blizzcon. Then there's Dustin's recent tweets which mention Artanis and Nova. Lunara will probably push Valla out if they don't change her a little bit. We'll see!

Tychus please! He's one of my favorites (even that hero analyzer link said he's one of my best, 25% better win rate than the average) so I'd love for him to be more viable.

I love this compared to Dota. Did a few qms so far and there is a lot more movement from lane to lane and more action. I love not focusing on last hits. Only played valla online so far but will probably try trial or butcher next.

Gonna spend some serious money during this sale...

Today I played against 6 opponents, the enemy team and lag.

Oh you want to heal yourselves so not to die? Nah bro let me carry through your last command for the next second instead.

Tyrande is awesome though, wish I had the ping to utilize her properly. Played in a match where we managed to constantly lose while winning. We had more kills and better teamfights but were unable to get any tributes, we were constantly behind in structures and at the end threw at the boss.

You should probably avoid Tyrande.
Your win rate is -25% worse than the average Tyrande player.

You have 31.8% over 22 games, with players averaging 57.2% overall.

Okay but my win rate is over 60% in Hero League. Where is the filter? I don't give a care bout my Quickmatch stats. Tyrande was like my 1st HOTS character so yeah I lost a crap ton of QM. But she's full of win in HL for me

You excel with Raynor.
Your win rate is 11% better than the average Raynor player.

You have 66.7% over 15 games, with players averaging 56.0% overall.

Huh I never considered myself better than any other Raynor character. The kit is so wonderful it's just hard to mess up. But anyways that's good to know

71.2% (52 games), 66.7% (39 games), and 35.7% (14 games) winrates on Kharazim.

40% (35 games) 62% (71 games) 57.4% (101 games) winrates on Rehgar.

38.9% (19 games) 59.5% (74 games) winrates on Uther.

Kharazim and Rehgar are probably easily my best heroes (BW notwithstanding), but due to limited games and on the Alur account the Kharazim winrate looks bad. Same thing with Rehgar and Uther on my primary alt account - I kept trying to carry with them at low MMR (1800 when I started when I'm used to playing at the 3k range) like I was at high MMR on my other accounts and you can't do that with support at that level. You have to be damage at that level to truly have an impact on the game.

I don't have too many avoids because I pretty much don't play a hero past 10 games outside of AI unless I am doing pretty decent with it or just really like it. The ones I do generally don't have many games to em.

It is kind of funny that my Tyrande is avoid even though it's 50% winrate due to the way it makes it's calculations.

It's uglier playing against Nova as Kael'thas with Gathering Power being what it is now. Her right click with the burst build can melt Arcane Barrier and it seems like it does more damage than Triple Tap or Precision Strike.

Waiting on that day Hammer becomes OP.

That's the day when queuing with my friend who plays only her and Johanna pays off big.

She kinda was buffed a while back with the decrease on the cooldown for entering and exiting siege.

Meh, I'm in the opposite camp for Artanis unfortunately. I think he's their first big design failure in a long time for a hero, and is just badly put together in multiple aspects.

He feels clunky as hell to use - just his movements, his attack range and his overall animations. His blade dash is an actively bad ability outside of wave clear unless you talent for it, and even then it's extremely mediocre at best. His prism is simply bad - too slow, too short range, preventing you from using it to make the plays which would be fun and skill testing. And then his final ability is double strike, one of the most dull and unimaginative abilities in the game (alongside mend pet!).

His kit just doesn't hang well together at all, and I don't know what they were intending him to be. It feels very much like he needs quite a bit of change to become a fun character to play. When two of your basic abilities are so flawed, and the other is so dull, it indicates a real issue with the characters fundamental design in my mind. I don't think they know what they want him to be.

I'm in the "he's fun as hell to play" camp.

Not particularly ideal or even useful for large parts of the game, but a good time nonetheless.

Blade dash honestly makes very little sense to me. Like, it reminds me of those bootleg Mexican Street Fighter Champion Edition machines where you could throw fireballs while jumping

Seriously though, it's an ability that ignores collision in a way that makes no sense and gets new players frequently killed, the only part of the attack that surprises anyone does shit damage, it gives anyone with CC a really long opportunity to know exactly where he's going to be and he can't do anything about it once he's started it, and it doesn't synergize with the rest of his design. He should have an ability that makes him stick to people since he's basically worthless without his W, not something which is so bad it's practically a free CC for the opposing team.

Blade Dash is terrible. Constantly fucking up just about everything, from your own teammate's skill shots to positioning.

It's still fun darting behind the gate for a snipe though. :D

Artanis on the free rotation is causing me to lose a lot of games. People blade dashing into the enemy walls and getting tore up by the towers. Players trying to use blade dash as an escape and not getting anywhere. Had a match yesterday where the enemy Muradin made a point to hammer our Artanis every time he blade dashed.

I like to think of Artanis as the Yoshican of Heroes of the Storm.

  • They both run into things full throttle, full enthusiasm. Headfirst some would call it. Sometimes it's awesome, sometimes it gets him (or inanimate objects) killed.
  • They both like flipping; Artanis flips people behind him with his (E), Yoshichan flips tables.
  • They are also both much more powerful late. Artanis sees his damage ramp tremendously with his 16 and 20 talents while Yoshichan can build or destroy a game in chat/thread depending on the results and people found in said games once he reaches the 10 consecutive hours played mark.
  • Thanks to Yoshichan's post, we know that Yoshichan spent some serious funds on looking good and we already knew Artanis has some of the best skins in the game.
  • And of course, there's the correlation of leadership. Yoshichan is leader of both Blizzard Is Life fanclub (BIL(tm) - I'm a card carrying member and lobbying for Vice President but it's been a hard campaign because my political enemies have put out ads against me implying I use intimidation tactics) and occasionally he stages a coup d’état and forms the anti-Blizzard club. Either way, he is a leader. Artanis is, of course, the Heirarch and leader of the Daelaam.

All those things sound pretty fun to me. But...

I mean...when you think about it, have you really seen Yoshichan around much since LOTV came out and Artanis was released? Seems kinda fishy doesn't it.

I've never seen them in the same place together...

Yeah i tried artanis for the first time last night, blade dash is confusing to me. I feel like it's a risk/reward kind of thing but im not really feeling the reward part. In games ive played w/ and against artanis ppl get baited to waste cds on it but i mean if you stun him it's a free kill

another tweet from dustin confirming gaz buffs

THE DAY HAS COME FRIENDS

GAZLOWE TIER 1 MELEE ASSASSIN

I saw another tweet suggesting his rework + Nova rework won't come before the end of the year, but (at least for Gaz) it sounds like they are thinking about some significant changes. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Also, someone drew up this. Yes please. I'll buy it twice.

I think Genji would probably actually play too much like Graymane. Weaker ranged combat (with his throwing weapons) and then jumping in for quick powerful melee strikes.

I responded on the thread. I think you're right, but I think there's heroes who need to be left out of the discussion because they're deliberately designed with Solo v 5 man ult options.

edit: We have a pretty huge philosophical difference on how viability non-fight strats should be, I suspect.

Blackscorp is streaming HoTS again. Wonder what that's about.

With a french team either P5 or Power Rangers, they're drafting on Heroesdraft. Just for fun in a small french tournament though

Oh and adrd is subbing on mYinsanity now.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
wat is going on here
