Anybody else having issues with the spider mount promotion? I can't get the website to respond to my clicks, on 3 separate computers between clean installs of firefox and chrome. I click on the big orange "Create a team" button and nothing. I even try opening the link in a new tab or window or something and it just loops me back onto the same page.

Yoshichan

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Falstad will be top tier fun. Guaranteed

5 wins in a row so far.

He is REALLY, REALLY fun. What the heck! It's weird... the characters that I thought would be trash are really great!

Was going to download this game to try, but then realized you have to buy heroes. :\ Too spoiled by DotA.

Dota 2 pricing model is quite nice. I guess the Dota fans spend money on the skins. I practice with dota 2 a little bit offline with bots. so much to learn. I really enjoy HOTS though since its by far my main game

So far I've spent $15.99 on starter pack (5 heroes) and $5 on tyrael. Purchased one hero using ingame gold. I don't mind giving them a bit of money though. It's a lot of fun.

That's a little harsh, eh? I mean thanks to them, because they let the majority of players play the game for free.

Just because one buys a skin doesn't mean one has to be pro or even above average with a hero. Some skins go on sale and people buy them for future use. Some skins come in a bundle they bought for something else and it was an add-in. Some people buy skins when they start learning a hero because they detest the default skin.

Its just a skin. I've seen so many below average players with master skins for many months that its comical and I regularly see pro players streaming in generic skins or on brown horses. You can't let it have any bearing on how good or bad you expect a player to be.

I wouldn't bother. It's a fairly common opinion that being able to afford style means you have no substance. Even though we're talking about a video game with some $7 skins, and not buying $900 Gucci handbags.

Consider me sold on Promote with Tassadar. I've got such a weird build for him, but I find mobility makes him so strong.

Well the number one reason DotA2 doesn't charge for heroes is because they didn't need to. Bringing people into the steam ecosystem is good enough, they may buy other games.

almost to 40, finally. not that it matters too much once you open up hero league :p

the character level grind will be "fun" once I get all of them up to level 5.

I have a 58% win rate with Brightwing and 50 or below with everyone else.

I have also played Brightwing more than almost everyone else combined though.

Man, some of the Heroes really change my mindset while I'm playing them. I'm nearly frantic as Brightwing, constantly glancing around the map, picking positioning, and casting more abilities than anyone else. While playing Johanna, however, I can just calmly play the game of patience. Oh, you got an Illidan? That's cool, I'll just blind you and slow you, no worries.

Ugh, matchmaking is so fucking shit sometimes. Two games in a row where we get no tank and they get a tank. You can guess how those went. Not only that, but those two tanks just happened to be Anub in one game and Johanna in the second.

Blizz, if you're reading this, fix your fucking shit.

Thrall is so good. I wish his auto attack looked cooler tho, somehow. Wind fury at 16 is great for spreading damage around. Throw 2 hits on one and the final 3 on another. So good.

Ok I'm new to this game and am growing tired of the quick match with random teammates. None of my friends play so I've been having less fun the more I play. Beyond the teammates thing the game is a blast. Been playing Nova and doing pretty decent I feel like. Any gaffers want to group up? Is there a resource for adding people but also keeping within a certain skill level?

How do you judge how well you've performed at the end of a match? I always get upper 20's takedowns but it doesn't seem as important(coming from CSGO).

Grats to protonium on hitting rank 1 and Milly for getting to rank 3. Getting close...getting real close.

Also...what a difference a Zuna (plus Dreadnaught shotcalling) makes. Kind of proud of em.

Tonight had some very good games, partnered up with a gaffer and we went a smashing. We won several matches in a roll and we should have had the last one but somewhere the group just fell apart or the other team comp was simply better. Really not sure.

So love playing Zag.

. Reading a syl guide now. Learned tons already.
Those talent choice totally make Sylvanas an assassin instead of specialist.
Sylvanas can be a strong Assassin but her strenght is better when team could create space for her to push an empty/less guarded lane.
Her Q will always priotised Enemy hero.
So I always took 200% extra dmg to minion. You could still harrass opponent easily with the default range.

Unstable Arrow is really strong.

Her level 16 talent, which out +25% vulnerability debuff is better in team fight.
Reeeeaaalllly don't like picking up Illidan with only BW as the healer.
My most hated hero.
Seems like everyone who played him just charge into the enemies and expect supports are always healing them but they are already out of range of the supports.
If i could see the statistic, i think i lose most game when Illidan is in my team.

That was fantastic until the last game. We like full wiped like 3 or 4 times, there was just no coming back from that. We were doing so well too.

Zag plus my anub was quite funny.

Just started playing the game this week and really enjoying it. Currently level 17 doing AI games with the occasional quick match thrown in. Happy to play with anyone!

Nothing like a team that jobs so hard, you'd think they're were bribed to throw it in the final stretch. We were ahead, and winning most of the team fights, but suddenly they decided to all split up and get picked off one by one. Even when we had a brief turn of luck and got the curse on them, our team spent the entire time getting a single merc camp instead of pushing.

I hate playing with people I can't communicate with.

As an aside, I'm really liking Zegara and Falstad. Falstad is like an assassin style Brightwing, and it's great.

It's really weird to see a Blizzard game getting frequent new content :p wondering for how long they can keep it up... it's like something new coming every few weeks, not even Hearthstone is like that...

LOL

We almost won cuz they got cocky and tried fountain camping, but then during our push the tank player came back and was just afk the rest of the time.

All three players had below 10 games.

This is the first time I've actually been super disappointed in this matchmaking.

Hero League from now on.

Edit:

This ETC just Mosh Pitted a Nova illusion.

Thinking I would rather have the bots.

10 years since Kael win. I walk through the empty lanes trying to kill things but my path never leads to win. I nuke the other side for hours and try to kill enemies. I watch my teammates get caught out and it is no good. I try to position myself and resist the Zeratulidans but I always get dived. The end is near. I then usually pick Anubarak in HL and get some free wins.

I was really enjoying Rehgar today. I guess it helped that I won 3 in a row with him when I switched to him for the first time.

Sylvanas was kind of hard to get at the beginning but I got the hang of it in the end.

Your results match the pro's results from ESL. He had a 30% winrate by the end of everything.
