At least this explains why they immediately started whining after the draft and wouldn't listen to me when I told them I had the lanes all soaked and that they needed to go to the temple, not try to wave clear with Li Li.

Yeah that may be the play. QM is just too frustrating to deal with, but a lot of the time I can't find gaffers online to group with.
I am beginning to think that the Gathering power build is simply to greedy. Yes, it's amazing at 16, but teams have wised up to that and by the time Kael hits 16 it's already too late and the enemy team has pushed you in too far and has too much of an advantage.
We've been having more and more success with taking the stun talents at 1 and 4, and using those to disrupt teams and get ganks early on whilst you wait for his damage to pick up. The stun is FAR more useful than a 9% increase on his abilities in the beginning and mid term of the game.

He just straight up doesn't have nearly the burst capacity he did at 16 pre-nerf/fix, especially with everyone moving to Flamethrower instead. That definitely sounds like an interesting way to use him - and at least it keeps him mobile/buddy'd up in the early game.
Zeratul vs Kael is just super ugly.

??Yeah - he has the best poke in the game, by a loooooong way, to the extent that Hammer is made completely redundant. But poke doesn't win you games, and with Brightwing and Malfurion rising in healer popularity teams are finding it easier to cope with his long range stuff at that point. You need to pair him with someone who can actually secure a kill off his damage, otherwise you just back and forth until someone screws up and gets out of position.
My last game had people standing in fights like they were either alt tabbed for had 700 ping. They almost never fought together unless it was to overextend and die and our Raynor was farming creeps while fights were happening just outside of auto attack range. When I checked the hotslogs it showed that half of them had less than 1hr played.
I guess that explains why nothing made any sense. I should really just play HL but QM is so much faster...then again my first and only HL experience was just as bad as any QM
If you can learn TLV while they're in their current busted state, you should do it. I'm realizing they basically function as a carry due to the soak ability letting you get 2+ levels on your opponents - it will help a bad team playing decently well squash another team playing well but from behind.
Still won't help vs self-destructive idiots though. I like picking up Spy Games on Sky Temple and Blackheart's Bay instead of the +Regen ability because of the necessity of getting Erik off soaking solo on those maps.

Played long enough to get the Hearthstone card back, and I've surprised myself, I want to keep playing. I find MOBAs really difficult, but this one is fun to me. I added myself to the EU BattleTag list.
Is there a general guide anywhere so I can suck less? I need help with the basics like postioning. I like playing Warriors and Assassins mainly, though I spent the 10K on Sylvanas and really enjoy playing as her. Like I said, this is my first real MOBA and I'm struggling at times. I enjoy the game but I'd like to be less of a liability to my team, especially in team-fights where I always seem to die first and teammates accuse me of wanting to gank. I don't even know what a gank is!

Best thing to do re: learning (beyond guides which someone out there will link you to) is simply watch streams - especially Jake/Cooby's stuff. They're very good at explaining things.
For an absurdly in depth guide: search up Tempo Storm Dreadnaught's guide to Dragon Shire. It's pretty incredible.

Yeah bots have been riding that thing for two patches now. Considering I think certain variations of it are among the coolest mounts in the game the wait has been unbearable.
kirblar and others think they held it because they knew the Magic Carpet was going on sale so they wanted to wait til after that. That sounds about right to me. Gotta get dem dollars.
My guess would be if we don't see it Tuesday we won't see it til the patch that comes out on the 30th, but who knows. All they have to do is turn it on.

Gank mean : ambush someone (yeah, I don't know why we're using gank and not ambush instead, internet...)
My guess is that you're always the first to arrive before everyone else of your team on the objectives wich result that you're alone for some seconds and can be easly surrounded by the enemy team then get killed.
Sylvana has a good chance of survivial with her skill that let her teleport, try to teleport through "walls" to escape your ennemies and wait a bit for your team during objectives.
Also if people are bullying you in the chat, I advice you to disable it during quick matchers and use pings when you play solo. Your mental health may depend on it. Try too to play with Gaf members because at least they willtry to play together and know the basics of the game while randoms players may not.

Speaking of Murky, I played against a few yesterday for the first time and I have no idea how to counter them. I mean, I keep killing him but it doesn't matter because he's back in seconds. I felt like I could never leave my lane because he would constantly be pushing. How do you counter him?
