And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Yeah you better have an answer for that when you sober up bro

I realized I like playing sneaky fleshy assassin types. My favs are Zeratul, Nova, Illidan, and Valla.

Support-wise, for all the complaining people do about him, I really like Tassadar. Healer-wise, I like Rhegar the most - his wolf form is so fun/good. Brightwing is fun to play too.

I don't know why I felt like typing all that out, but there it is!

Had one of the most ridiculous hero league game ever.
Me and my friend duo queue start with Johanna+ Brightwing while opponents start to pick kaelthas and sylvanas as usual.
Then our teammate pick gazlowe and abathur.
Then Murky :O

Kept getting rekt the whole game but our specialist keep pushing. But we got the dragon all the time due to their misplay.
Ended up with a few teamwiped but they couldnt advance to our core.
Managed to get the victory at level 23/24 finally.

People who don't chat in HL draft = will trainwreck your team. Without fail. They don't hover a hero, and they will always pick whatever they want, no matter the team comp, then proceed to go off solo all game.

That was not a good match I just watched. Enemy core at 44% without full shields at 25 minutes in, and it's 5 versus 2, and instead of ending the game they split up to do merc camps. That's the sort of stuff you see in quick matches...

So the funniest hero is Murky, right?

If I had 10 euros to spend on the game, I would choose Murky?

Edit: oops, double post.

I love Murky, so much so i will level him to 10 and pay the extra 10k gold for the cute outfit :D - he's just so much fun to play.

The feels when even after a winning streak you realise you were the weakest link in all of those wins because I can't understand Kael or just suck at positionning overall. To be fair, I seem to be at a bracket now that they understand how much damage kael can do and focused me down hard but still.

Anybody got a good ressource/guide for Kael in text/video/smoke signal ?

Guys is it normal that this game uses 2gb of memory? I notice that the tends to lag after a bit and easily goes above the 2gb in memory usage.

So, how fun is Johanna?

I'm sitting on 30k+ gold, have over half the heroes owned, no money spent, and everything out of the 2k and 4k brackets. Johanna seems good, tanky, but... boring? Less mobile than the other Warriors, at least.

I honestly disagree with this guide, especially for solo queue. It's far too greedy a build to take Mana Addict at level1, and then Gathering power at level 4. Yes, it's the strongest end game build but Kael is such a weak character early on you often end up losing way too much too soon to be able to make up for it later on.

Fel Infusion is a decent choice at 1, depending on your healer, but for the key is the extra range and speed on the stun at level 4. this vastly improves your capability to gank and actually help out in team fights in the early and mid stages of the game, where Kael is otherwise very weak.

Everytime I've faced Kael recently they have been using the linked build, and I think I've won every game - just by capitalising on how weak he is early on, killing him repeatedly and establishing a level lead that's hard for them to come back from.

I've only played two tanks so far (Muradin and Johanna). Johanna was fun! Muradin not so much.

I think I'm in that burn out phase people seem to go through after a while. I haven't been on much lately. Not even the 100% bonus xp has managed to bring me back for more than dailies. I think it is because I can't stand solo queue anymore so I'd rather chill out and play some SWTOR.

Upgrade into Gravity Lift taken at L4.

You called it.

edit: G2, Blaze got wrecked in that draft. Their team is completely immobile.

Yeah that's what happened to me most of the time. The range on the sun would have helped much better. I should start experimenting with builds a little more. I just wasn't comfortable enough to do it yet.

Yeah I totally agree having played Kael quite a lot.

I always go for fel infusion and the gravity lapse upgrade at lvl 4 if I'm solo or without an healer. Hell sometimes i take the stun upgrade even when I do depending on comps. It can be really invaluable when going for kills.

I think that's crazy. GP is too good, and the downsides can be fixed with better play. Early KT needs to play like a coward, stay out of fight, way in the back. Have the mindset that You don't need to do damage before 16, because 16 is so strong for him. All you have to do is live and not fall too far behind, because you will make up the difference. With GP you have a 6 sec heroic ability in DQ, it's too good to pass up for a little extra early game utility...

I'm with the rest. Take Nether Wind unless you are sure in your positioning and your team. You do so much damage post 16 you don't even need the Gathering Power to blow people up. It's nice, but it's never been the difference between me winning a game on Kael or losing - my Flamethrower or Chain Bomb + Ignite does it's job regardless.

From my perspective: 1) If you're solo or duo you have little influence on your team not taking stupid fights which either puts you at risk for getting blown up and losing Gathering stacks or leaving your team to die and getting no Gathering stacks, 2) you can't rely on whatever healer you may have most likely and 3) like all Kael'thas playing in any size group you will get dove hard which makes 1) & 2) an even bigger problem for Kael than on other heroes and when that dive happens, Nether Wind is a great little resource to have.

With an unreliable team its just a safer and more useful IMO.

That's the best they've looked in a while. So good see McIntyre pull out Kerrigan too.

Heroesnexus.com has the PTR patch details. Their full list posted is noted as incomplete- it doesn't show removed abilities - you have to look at a hero's PTR page to see removed ones.

Can't C/P from where I'm at - BW LOST Gust (edit: oops, sorry about the mistake!) and has an enormous amount of changes. So does Rehgar and Malf as well as TLV. Looks like TLV now have different talent options for their Q/W/E which is amazing. They have lost their complete bullshit trait that gave them 75% respawn time- instead they have Viking Hoard automatically. This was 100% the most important change necessary to nerf them.

Jaina did lose Sprint. Blood 4 Blood now deals only 10% HP. Envenom now deals damage over 10 seconds. (thats a surprise nerf)

Stitches got slight buffs, is still totally terrible.

Before I dive into those, pretty neat that the Butcher bundle is going to include both the 2nd Butcher skin as well as the new Battle Beast like the old Winter's Veil bundles.

Saves me from getting em separately.

EDIT:

Brightwing - Looks like she's going to heal less per pulse but she'll get 5 pulses in 20 seconds instead of 4...which is a net gain in sustain but a nerf up front I suppose? They've also added a talent at 4 which will add a HoT to a target if you heal them with Soothing Mist and they have Pixie Dust on them.

Polymorph also lasts .5 seconds less.

The Hyper Shift and Unfurling Ray talents at one are pretty damn interesting. Bigger radius on heal with Ray and quicker teleports with Shift.

Hard to tell how it shakes out til we know which talents disappeared though.

Lol I charged Malfurion with Diablo, into a corner, and blocked him from getting out. I just auto attacked him to death.

Wow at the Metamorphosis change. From 400 base damage to 100. Not sure how that plays out, but that's a big shift.

The changes to Malfurion to make him way more mana efficient are intriguing as well.

And Ancestral Healing finally got a small cooldown nerf from 60 sec to 70. Little late with that one.

It's a good one- the ability doing that much was sort of silly given all the other bonuses.

BW actually DID lose gust, I just had a bugout when checking on her page.

Looks like she lost both of the healing abilities she had at 7 and it got replaced by a new one.

The B4B change is less damage but it now heals for twice the amount which means heroes like Valla and Anub are probably still gonna look at it I would assume. The healing is a big thing for Valla.

EDIT: Honestly doesn't look like this will be a huge nerf to Brightwing. Seems like she'll still be fine and will be able to go back to a previous incarnation where she can be even more globally present but with less burst healing without relying on the gimmicks. They did hurt Rehgar's healing, however, and they appear to have given a decent buff to Malfurion so it may change the order a bit.

Zagara with the last tier of Tumors is like the Flash, the most fun and versatile hero in HotS for me.

Also free wards for the entire team but crap damage.

Any buffs for abathur?

IMO he's pretty balanced. Lots of risk and lots of reward. Not sure why the lowered the cooldown, honestly, but I don't find him out of line at all. Just annoying and a hero you have to play around.
