12 games with Valla? Play against real people and you'd be level 8 with Valla after 12 games (shit you might get her to level 10 with a stimpack on). Playing versus AI is real slow leveling. Its a MOBA, they reward playing versus real people far more than AI.

Winning vs AI can get you more than losing QM. That doesn't help incentivizing new players. I used to play QM all the time but in recent times I've been losing taste for gaming as a competitive thing (especially after my main group of gaming friends lost interest in MOBAs). I'll maybe do something light like Rocket League (at most Overwatch if I ever get it) but team stuff is rather stressful until you're amazing and can somewhat carry. So I these days play a lot of AI as just a super chill solitaire-like passtime, lol. Speaking of which, if anyone wants to blast out the nexus challenge on AI and have trouble finding a partner, I'm around.

Ya I had fun with Tracer on release, but for whatever reason I REALLY do not like playing her anymore. Super boring hero.

zarya would be fun for an advanced player that can see her strengths and play as the bard/party buffer and zone/position the opposing team. for a new player, she's slow, has short range with no mobility, her grenade hits for nothing for most of the game evem when charged, and half of her abilities are just shields. she's boring as fuckkkkkkk for a new player that wants to feel like they're having an active, direct effect on team fights. for people who realize how much indirect impact she can have on a game, for sure she's fun.

same way new players dont pick johanna or etc.. they pick diablo and sonya. my opinion of course. zarya is trash status snoozeville.

If you take Pinpoint Accuracy at 7 and completed maximum charge at 1 at full energy the grenades deal like 400+ damage each lategame and the range of these things is nothing to scoff t. Damage mitigation is also a very satisfying feeling, little comes close to making a clutch safe.

Her harass is super good she just hits like a wet noodle sometimes, I've confirmed so many kills with her shooting blind behind walls.

My only issue with Zarya is the awkwardness of needing to target something specific. Something about her beam makes it feel like I should be able to just click anywhere to fire it in that direction.

So, thoughts on the new brawl after 5 games this morning.

1) The "Pick from three random heroes" is a lot more fun than random allocation, or hammer-time, and hope they stick with this format. Love it.

2) Make wells invulnerable, *please*.

3) I'm still not sure how the game plays without talents. Some heroes feel okay, some feel utterly worthless. I think they need to look at this again to be honest, as it feels like it strips too much out of the game.

4) Tassadar. Please god I hope his changes and fixes come through soon. Getting him as your solo healer just means you lose the round, in a really unfun way.

Well they said at blizzcon that they're adding bruiser/healer subclasses, so he won't be counted as a healer anymore once that happens. But who knows when thats actually coming, going to have to suck it up until then

So far agree with Maledict re (1); there's some tilt options like Raynor Banshee harass on the temples, but overall it feels a lot more reasonable.

They missed the point of Tracer, recall needs to heal you from the start. That's how she works, not having it on that last talent select. It's just not fun to be always low on hp as a hero that is supposed to be mobile and kinda lonewolf until the game has already ended.

The thing is, with how she now plays and her cooldowns and how they ended up changing her, I don't think the heal on E would be that bad. Outside of absolute pro-level play, with a tassadar and another support working on her, she's pretty fucking bad right now and unfun to play.

She would be unkillable and an absolute terror. It works in overwatch because theres plenty of ways for heroes to heal in that game, and maps are small, and its a shooter. It doesn't exactly translate in mobas.

Everyone has auto attack on you in this game unlike in Overwatch, I think it balances itself. They don't have to aim to hit you.

It's really worthless and boring right now. I don't see how healing is a big deal, she's still easy to kill but at least that let you get in and out without dying, it's like Illidan.

E build Artanis baby, the guaranteed #1 way to piss off your teammates immediately. Works every time. So enjoyable though!

I only scanned that thread, but the fact is the MMR & rank system is broken. I honestly believe the reason we can't see our MMR is because it would show how fucked up the system is. I've seen the Number 1 EU Hero League player go into a draft and not be the banner - instead someone who wasn't even in grandmasters was.

The current brawl frustrates me because it seems teams don't understand it. I've had so many games where we won the fight - and then didn't stand on the damn objective, so gained nothing. People don't seem to realise that the only purpose of kills is to hold the objective - if you don't do that, don't bother with kills!

(Watching a player wander off the objective to try to get a kill on a low health person is just embarresing).

That makes sense. I stopped having that map in vs AI but It's the only one I got so far in Quick Match.
