It was the music for me. It would constantly skip unless I turned the console on it's side or top.

It was only a problem with games that had music tracks on the disk, like Ridge Racer and Tekken.

Skipped the PS1, but most of my friends had one. I was more into Sega consoles. Ended up winning a PS2 in a contest and from that moment sticked with PS consoles only + PC.

Astro's Playroom is also a great way to revisit the Playstation history.
