I went with the entire top row first of all 3 categories. All use full and low cost. Then I moved on to some of the stealthy stuff.

Regarding difficulty play level, it seems most are planning to play this on hard/very hard. Is normal too easy & you can cheese through the game? Do you get mad money/XP and health on the regular?

Also how easy is it to unlock almost every skill tree and max out your character in this game?

lol, yea everything seems great. I had a hard time choosing as well.

Surprisingly, I first went the scavenger route. Getting more materials and whatnot. So I unlocked the right side of that tree, straight down. I don't normally do it, but why not.

After that, I unlocked the sneak attack (with pressing R1 when they're near. That's on the first tree) then I went for the critical hit when they're down (which is in the 2nd tree).

Thanks for the responses guys

Also, should I just be buying new weapons from traders? Or do you find/are given stuff? I haven't gotten much so far so I feel like I should just be purchasing armors and weapons...

I haven't found any weapons at all. They're pretty much all bought unless I've somehow managed to miss them all. It's actually really easy to get the top tier weapons pretty early into the game. I had half of them like 12-15 hours in.

Woohoo got it early, installing now. Amazon always ships games early enough that I should get them a day early, but it seems to depend on whether the mail carrier feels like delivering it that day or not.

Is there supposed to be a day 1 patch? It's not showing up yet, but maybe won't go live until tomorrow.

The bonfires are everywhere, just go up to one and press one button, it's fast.

Had a fight with some watchers and sawtooths by a campfire. Next thing I know two more sawtooths show up with a long leg. It was hectic. It was a long battle. I laid out one last explosive trap to finish off the sawtooth who has super low health. He takes a dive at me, hits the trap, I was too close to the trap, I die from explosion. Didn't save it and when I respawned had to do the whole battler over. lol.

I think it's the pro patch from what I'm aware of. Which is already out.

I don't think "Quick Save" actually save the game if you quit the APP. Can someone confirm? I am losing/missing some upgrades and processes with Quick Save.

Awesome video. And wow, you have a lot of subscribers.

Edit: How are you getting first person footage outside of photomode?

Creatively pushing Aloy against things and getting her to disappear with the camera. The game is actually really good about making her invisible when the camera is too close to her.

hmmm idk. I always quick save and manual save to be safe. I also rarely quit the app. Just close out of it and put ps4 on sleep mode. I'm literally right back into the game in like 10 seconds

How many skills can we realistically purchase in the skill tree without crazy grinding by the end of the game?

I want to plan ahead of my route of what to take when taking into account how many points I'll get towards the end.

top level ones are purple right?

From what I've seen so far yes. Given I'm only 22 hours in and most of that is side quest and exploring stuff. I still feel like I have a ton of side quest. I'm level 25-26 and main quest levels are hovering around level 20 or so right now.

You can get top level weapons and armor from vendors for like 800-1000 shards

Sounds like you could get the best or at least close to the best weapons fairly easily?

Shame, I was hoping you'd get a steady supply of new and better gear, with the occasional big jump in power due to finding a hidden spot with good loot or maybe finishing a high-level side quest early on.

From you level, looks like you did more side quests than I did lol. There are just so many side quests to do in the game.

Haha I think I might go for platinum so I'm doing a lot of side stuff. I feel like each town I get to has more side quests than the last. lol

Yea I was kinda surprised too. I was also surprised how far into the map the main and side quests take so early in the game. The game is awesome but you can see a ton of areas where they might want to expand upon in sequels. Especially in the amor and loot areas.

Great OT!

Will be playing bright and early tomorrow morning, all day long. What a great week for gaming between this and Switch :-D

Difficulty: I'm really interested to see how this shakes out. I thought the game was legitimately difficult on Normal -- one of the hardest shooter/action games I've played, and certainly the hardest in recent years. Not Soulsborne, of course, but it's not trying to be that.

I had 32 out of 36 skills unlocked when I finished the game, and I stopped doing side content about halfway to finish the review in time. I've been max-level/max-skills for most of the endgame trophy-hunting.
