Nope, Spear will be the only melee weapon but it will be customizable and there are unique spears too, like with shock and fire.
It will be on PC, just give it 10 or so years.

i was hoping human enemies would use the same kinds of "methods" alloy could use
i mean i saw a guy waiting and not crossing a tripwire, so i guess they're kind of intelligent
but aside from that they're pretty much trash mobs

I was just messing around lol.
The vast majority of this thread has nothing to do with PC. It was just brought up so we talked about it.
So, no.
My guess is as you progress in the game you'll find more technological equipped enemies in the same way as there is in different tribes.
But it's just my wishful thinking

I saw a preview where a group of bandits assaulted Aloy with a barrage of fire arrows, but I can't remember which. I'll try to track it down.
All these platform wars and genre semantics and all I can think about how attractive the actress Aloy is modelled after is.

Never, ever going to happen. Well, not for another 15+ years or however long it takes for a PS4 emulator. Although as someone who typically ends up double-dipping when PC ports of games I really want to play have staggered releases, I wouldn't object.
PSNow doesn't take into account hardware differences though does it? The only reason I would consider rebuying a game is for an actual port, where the superior hardware gets the superior results.

Isn't Digimon Bandai or something? I'm mean sure, something like this can work with 3rd Party Games, it also worked with Dark Souls etc. But we are talking a Sony developed game here. No chance that happens.

I remember seeing firefly swarms like this pic as a kid.
Back when I lived in Portugal.
Got that from Google. Never really seen them in real life and I usually see them in animes lol.

I'm hyped for the game, but my main gripe is how you're living as a hybrid/native using homemade bow/arrow/explosives fighting these Robo-Dinos with these cool modern arse weapons

Well, maybe later in the game you get more futuristic weapons. *preview spoilers*
That armor in that one cave in the PlayStation access preview seemed pretty futuristic, so it's possible there's more like that.
