Sheesh..
that combat looks so amazing!
that combat looks so amazing!
It's not even a maybe, both games look amazing on consoles. Lmfao Horizon is not the first next gen looking game. XD
I hope one day we will bring up Horizon when people talk about WRPG combat like we keep bringing up Witcher 3 in this thread.
Expect too much?
Why would you hope that Horizon has bad combat mechanics?I hope one day we will bring up Horizon when people talk about WRPG combat like we keep bringing up Witcher 3 in this thread.

As in that the Witcher 3 is a hallmark of good combat? Because it isn't. W3 combat is terrible.
Dragon's Dogma is the undeniable king of open-world WRPG combat. None have topped it.
In the Zelda thread someone was saying Zelda's open world was better since there was cool stuff in the distance you'd want to explore. Don't want to bring that shit in here, but it's nice to see Horizon has some interesting landmarks as well.
I think someone said that's a rollercoaster...or at least it used to be
You beat me to it, especially after the Zelda comparison thread where that one guy pointed out that something very similar in the distance was somehow to be interpreted of Zelda having a vastly more interesting world.
All looks mostly great so farAh shinobi what do you think of the game's previews so far?

I really hope that first city is explorable.

Again not denying that Horizon looks great, however, it looking great doesn't erase the amazing looking open world games we've had this gen.Horizon Zero Dawn is in a different league, in my humble opinion

Link wakes up at least 100 years later in Zelda.I just realized that Zelda and Horizon kinda have similar story premise, shit happened in the past, time skip forward to present and the main character go explore the open world and along the way will learn what happened during the time skip (a couple year in Zelda, a few centuries in Horizon)
This was all in one part of the map?

I just hope they remove the heath bar on higher difficulty so you can get absolutely destroyed by the Stalker.
On PC maybe
Sheesh..

What are cauldrons?

The best draw distance with actual content i have seen in a game on a console as a exclusive from a first party.

It needs to be RPG enough for the detractors ,and be good enough as a whole package.
MGSV's excellent gunplay, controls and deep sandbox is never brought up whenever discussing that game in the context of comparing open-worlds, because people prefer to shit on barren world, Chapter 3 and lolstory.
Nobody brings up Dragon's Dogma because not enough people has played it to see the light.
Ayyyyy lol perfect timing

Said it when the first trailer came out this is the game that puts Guerilla Games really on the map. No offence to the amazing Killzone franchise.

yep this is not as a diss towards the comapny or anything while I like Killzone, when I look at this I would never have guessed it was Guerilla Games that made this game

Where is this gameplay from?
it's amazing to see how far games have come, I don't think anyone expected when Sony announced the PS4 specs that open world games could look like that.
